If you were offered FSS, it is almost certain you did not get selected for IFR/VFR so you should make a decision based on that fact. In generic training, you can practice as much as you want because the sim is voice recognition and you operate it on your own. Most of us came in on the weekends, especially before an eval. The centre is open 24 hours, so you can come in and practice as much as you'd like. In speciality, the sim is...
