Coroner recommendations.

Hey all. Long time no see! I don't know how many members remember me, or are even if any are still here. My husband died as the result of a floatplane crash way way back in 2005. I spent several years here on AvCanada learning more about the industry so that I could advocate for change in regulation...

Nice catch, Mr. Wings! The book was featured on The Current. http://www.cbc.ca/thecurrent/episode/2012/10/23/the-wreckage-of-flight-402/. Some of you may also remember Ms. Shaben's award-winning article in The Walrus a few years ago. http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=59014 She is a...

Re: Beaver down off Saturna island (Updates)

Cat, do TC requirements for a seaplane endorsement really equip a pilot to fly pax here on the coast ? Shouldn't they? Of course, I'm looking at this from a completely different perspective ;) FlyGuy, in one of the accidents reviewed, the a/c sank within minutes although both floats remained attache...

The list does not include A05P0039, in which at least one (my husband), and probably five, men drowned after escaping their downed Beaver floatplane near Campbell River.

If it wasn't for this website, and the many people whom I have met either in person or "virtually" as a result of my membership, I never would have taken the course of safety advocate. I want to thank Joe, the mod team, and all the users (friend and foe!) of AvCanada; for not booting me when I first...
