Re: $55 charge, for processing medical?!
I’ll add to the fire. TC refused to issue a new type rating until I paid the 55$. I know it’s a stretch, but what if I couldn’t pay the fee and my employment hinged having the type rating. The government is essentially preventing me from working.

Re: Tindi DHC-7 Zero/Zero Landing
The only thing we don't know is if both windshields were arcing. I guess that's a real bad day at the office.

Re: Tindi DHC-7 Zero/Zero Landing
Maybe i missed something but i don't see anything that says they shut the heat off due to arcing. It appears to me they just shut the heat off. As mentioned they may have made a bad situation worse doing this. This is exacly what I was getting at. 5 minutes arcing on a windshield so that i can see ...

Re: Tindi DHC-7 Zero/Zero Landing
Well, honestly what's the matter with an "attaboy" from the AvCanada peanut gallery when someone does something right after something unusual happens? You dont get an attaboy when you may have made a bad situation worse. I remember an AirTransat Captain who got praise until the truth came out that ...

Re: Tindi DHC-7 Zero/Zero Landing
Gotta chime in on this one. So I must be confused but I find it hard to believe that a Dash-7 doesnt have two seperate electrical sources for windshield heat. They must have a high low setting as well? One windshield cracks the other guy flies. We must be missing some info here. Was the arcing on bo...

Re: Duty day tracker
flight duty xls works well when it is functioning but it has issues running on a network and it crashes quite often. The crash can result in a total loss pilot entries.

I think you are SOL because it requires you to be checked out on an a/c that has a t/o weight of more than 12500lbs. The be200 has a t/o weight of 12500.

West Jet in Yellowknife???
I know Yellowknife is a nice place but I don't see the need for 4 major players up here. While the 4 airlines are busy cutting each others throats I'm going to fly home cheap!!!!!

Re: Safety improving at MFC?
That's not the first time that has happened at Moncton. A few years ago when I was around one of the Diamonds was doing circuits on 29 and was told to land and wait for traffic departing off 24. Then tower told a 172 to go into position on 29. The 172 then got t/o clearance and took off over the dia...

In addition to this thread pissing me off....I wish drivers on the 400/401/407/403/QEW would just move over from sitting in the left lane. I hope this happenes soon before I make the news and ram 2 dozen cars before the cops pull me over. Drivers from Ontario do that all time even when they aren't ...
