Re: NEM Tony Ledsham is NOT gone...

I'd like to know who is or was behind the pathetic excuse for a hotel management company that has nickeled and dimed AC aircrew for the past decade. I always thought some pilot group was making it a side business. We have seen a massive number of decent layovers and great hotel locations axed to sav...

Re: I'm suing ACPA and Philippe Gauthier

Good Tony. Go get 'em. The absolute worst representation the pilot group has ever had. I admit I voted for MM, but I believed his election promises. Who else was fooled. The first and biggest gaff was believing that transparency meant anything to him. I see the ACPA cheerleading squad, and those who...

Re: NEM Tony Ledsham is NOT gone...

My congrats to those who recently escaped the ACPA cesspool.

DT you've done your best, great time to walk away. You've done more than we could ever ask of anyone.

Unfortunately, without you, the slide down the mountain will now accelerate past its current breakneck speed.

Re: NEM Tony Ledsham is NOT gone...

Air Canada has and never will, have problems getting good pilots. I don't know about the states, but I suspect, per capita, Canada has many more, hungry for a decent job. Makes it very hard to bargain with management. I say this as a complete outsider on a public forum. I also know that whatever a ...

Re: NEM Tony Ledsham is NOT gone...

I see the keyboard warriors are back... Please explain how (in any sense) TL is like Winston Churchill? Waiting patiently for the well thought out and cogent arguments. Waste of time, so why bother for your sake. You are obviously on the MEC. Part of the ongoing problem, not the solution. We have d...

Re: NEM Tony Ledsham is NOT gone...

I'm pretty sickened by individuals who don't offer Tony the respect he has earned over decades of having the "pilots back". I also find --appalling-- the lack of respect regarding his former contributions both in and out of the union. ACPA as it exists today has brought out the worst in hi...

Re: Who is flying the vaccine

That question is a joke right? The answer is nobody. We Canadians vaccinated 15,000 today. The Americans vaccinated 2,055,000. That's over TWO MILLION in one day. Our Liberal government is a joke. Everyone in Trudeaus "clown troupe" should resign, especially the Procurement Minister and He...

That would be a soft no. I must be suffering from some kind of psychosis thinking it would make any difference. Not with our track record anyway. Enjoy socialized reserve everyone. What's next on the chopping block?

Re: NEM election

Ken is a MEC cheerleader. If you want to keep "parting out" and tearing holes in the fabric of a legacy that was --80 years in the making-- by generations of former Air Canada pilots, he's your guy for sure. This Membership certainly either has a proven appetite for shredding what's left b...

Re: New MOA details

Yes. I'm definitely voting no. It's another spike in the seniority lists coffin. And a HUGE win for the Corp wrt having reserve pilots on an electronic leash. The MEC is spinning what would have come down the pipe anyway with the new regs as a win. For all the difference voting no has ever done. :ro...

Re: Can Tourism Operators Survive Another Year of Border Closure?

That's how Canada is with almost everything though. We have almost ZERO self-reliance. Whether it be these vaccines, having to go through other countries to export our energy and resources (KXL being cancelled is a perfect example) we have no reputable industry here to speak of, our schools are sec...

Re: Can Tourism Operators Survive Another Year of Border Closure?

I wanna know when Canadians are going to admit that we are FAILING badly on the vaccine rollout and ask for external help. We are 3x behind the WORST US State. Some US States are 6x higher per capita in the number of vaccines in arms. I am tremendously embarrassed to be Canadian. We apparently have ...

Re: Service Suspension Notice

It’s easier to do in the US because they have 400,000+ citizens and counting that will never need it. Now that’s embarrassing. But good thing Spirit or whoever is hiring! 340,000,000 / 400,000 = 1 in 850 people I wouldn't claim that as even a minor dent. Canada just doesn't have it's $hit together....

Re: Service Suspension Notice

It's an embarrassing time to be a Canadian. We have procured the highest number of doses in the world, yet we can't seem to figure out how to get them in peoples arms. We're sitting around 1% to 1.5% while some US states like West Virginia are approaching 10% of their population vaccinated. Don't ev...

Re: Service Suspension Notice

Agree +100. Tru-dumb didn't buy all those extra vaccines for Canadians. Don't be fooled for one second. He bought them on the tax-payers dime to look good at the UN when he not only pays for the Third World's vaccinations, but transports them overseas and distributes them for "free". He's ...
