If a category 1 medical certificate expires do you need to apply as a new applicant?
If a category 1 medical certificate expires are you treated as though you're a "new" applicant? Or can you just renew a usual. This is for the purpose of filing out the form. New Vs. Renewal. Thanks!

Re: Cop Refused Vaccine - Suspended - Got Covid - Died
Are we gonna have new threads on a pilot forum about this everytime someone dies? You have a group of the population saying “hey I’d like to make my own health decisions” and then another group wishing death upon them for not being able to make that decision for them. I know it makes you feel powerf...

Do you need to renew a Class 4 Instructor Rating (Covid Exemptions)?
I’m not currently working as an instructor but I’d like to keep my rating current. My question is in regards to Covid exemptions indicating that privileges no longer expired until you received a new license. I did receive the sticker from Transport Canada sometime after passing my rating flight test...

Re: AIRAF Written Exam question
I did the Harvs Air ground-school for the AIRAF. It was good. There was more theory of flight stuff than I was prepared for.
In my case, I told my class 1 i was ready to write the exam and he provided the recommend. I'm pretty sure you don't get a recommend from Harvs Air for the AIRAF.

Granted, it's a bit of a PITA to renew 3 months at a time. I'd rather do a ride and get it out of the way for the next 12 years.
What is it that you're renewing that expires every 3 months?

[/quote] It's been years since I studied this, but my understanding has been "getting paid" also means having others subsidizing building one's hours towards a higher rating. Landing at night before the lighted displaced threshold
The airport I fly at has a displaced threshold at night by lighting. I believe this is to account for a forest area that acts as a black hole on short final. My question, is it “illegal” to land and touchdown before the lighted threshold at night? On winter nights with the moon you can clearly see w...

Re: FlightPlan Go alternative on PC?
I only have a little of experience with the website. So I just answered my own question. From the main page fltplan.com you will see the round buttons (Weather, FBO & Airport Info, etc..). By clicking one of these and then clicking on the MAIN MENU in the top left, I discovered a whole other aspect...

Does using their website through your internet browser have all the same features as the Windows 10 app? I only have a little of experience with the website. For instance you can display your route on the map but then how do you get distance, HDG etc.. like on the android app? The decommissioned wi...

What happened to this app? It was very convenient to be able to see the charts, build a nav log on your computer and then having it transfer to your tablet over the cloud. When I open the app on windows 10 a message pop ups that it is no longer supported and it forces a close. Luckily I still have F...

Is it possible to send in the ATTESTATION form by Email? Reason being, my Cat 1 expires in a week and I'm kind of waiting last minute. I don't want it to expire.

Curious about this company. What kind of minimum hours of experience are they looking for? Cannot find it on their website.
