Re: Invites for 2024 GS?
What will be interesting is after the merger the low time Sunwing guys that I’ve heard they’ve been hiring a lot of lately will likely not be able to fly at WJ. Perhaps the plan will be to offer them a position at Encore, and hence solve some of Encore’s staffing issues (for FOs anyway). I can’t se...

Re: Realistic upgrade time
The comparison of WJ upgrade time vs AC upgrade time is very interesting and I will take the Air France example to try to explain that this will not change in the current state. Current upgrade time is around 8 to 10 years in Air France. Why? Because the company is great, the medium schedule and lon...

Re: July/August interview
The same thing that happen to jazz guys is now happening to OTS. Whatever they tell you for timing is far from the truth. Everyone who interviewed at jazz after December 2022 was told 2 months max from interview to offer, and ended up waiting 8 months. In the end AC does whatever they want. That's ...

Re: July/August interview
I think it doesn't mean anything. Sometimes you can have a negative MMPI due to inconsistency or invalid results. Not because you are crazy as shit. That might be true after the first MMPI or the second. But that they let you have a shot at it again after you messed up the interview with the psycho...

Re: July/August interview
I've been told it's 20 Jazz, 20 OTS for the next 4 classes. Hope they will reach, did interview late July, backgd and ref checked, then a psy video interview after a second negative MMPI. Nothing then. Probable PFO on the way. Did you answer “yes” to the question : “I sometimes see ghosts” 😄 only o...

Re: Air Canada vs WestJet
If you're chasing metal and long term money, Air Canada is your best bet. If you are chasing schedule and a family life, WestJet is your best bet. And because I'm transitioning from military, 36, father of 2, this choice is pretty hard. In one hand I can have a shiny career perspective with short/m...

Considering current conditions, what would be your choice right now for a new starter? Career vs Family perspective? Insight views with positive mindset will be much appreciated. Thanks !

Been said during the interview that the current waiting time is close to 8 weeks.
But who knows if this timeline can be shortened. Or the opposite...

Re: Career perspective based on the long run
So got my answer during the interview.
Told me currently around 8 years to have a left seat slot.
Social biddings pretty interesting too.
Best.
