Re: Take the vaccine, or lose your job - WTF?
Wowsers. Sounds biblical. Like I said. If you are vaccinated then go away. Don't want to hear it Karen. Actually it’s you the Karen on this case. For not understanding that the less people are vaccinated the more options for mutations to this disease. The more mutations, the more vaccination can be...

Re: Take the vaccine, or lose your job - WTF?
And now the Globalist NWO has this new fangled " Colombia" strain that's allegedly resistant to the vaccine anyway. Each time we get ahead with this virus some new " strain" comes and knocks us back. We have done our due diligence and the darn thing still replicates faster than herpes. That's becaus...

Re: Support For Tony
The unfortunate thing about this for Tony is that, had he not been so proud of his actions and broadcast it to the world, his career might not be in jeopardy. I cannot imagine anyone would hire him after a reference check with Air Canada. It's comments like this that make me even more concerned. "n...

Re: AC and TRZ Agree to Terminate Arrangement
As I've repeated before, the EU was NEVER going to approve this deal. They have spent billions to bail out their own airlines and there is no way in hell that they would allow two airlines in Canada to merge, thus creating a monopoly on a series of city pairs that would hurt the very own European ai...

Re: Transat revenues drop by 99%, with 2,000 layoffs expected
I guess no deal then. Yup. That deal is dead 95% sure, matter of time before an announcement is made to the public . Are you a TS pilot yourself Columbia? Very unusual to see a TS guy being almost sure the deal is dead. Haven't heard FL320 or GATRKGA in a while on here. Care to share your thoughts?...

Re: Air Canada Second Trip to C.C.A.A.?
I usually agree with your comments, but not the first two sentences. Both carriers provide leisure air travel, that's pretty comparable. Rouge has evolved significantly since it's launch; the A319's were to provide competition to stop WJ's unimpeded growth and the B767's with Transat over the Atlan...

Re: AC/TRZ Transaction Approved by TC - $5 per Share
Good, then let this be Quebec’s problem. As for Air Canada they, nor the rest of the country, care about the influence of the premier of Quebec. Why not just go with Peladeau’s offer then? It’s quebec-centric and the premier says he won’t let anything bad happen to Transat so there is no risk. AC i...

Re: AC/TRZ Transaction Approved by TC - $5 per Share
I echo the Quebec love being ridiculous in this deal, the competition bureau is supposed to look and analyze if it’s an issue of competition not what province the new company has jobs in. There is a zero percent chance that if air Canada bought WestJet the government would require that WestJet left...

Re: AC/TRZ Transaction Approved by TC - $5 per Share
I agree with your summary Altpiano. While AC is off the hook to buy after Feb 15th, Air Transat is off the hook to sell. So they could entertain other offers. It's unlikely they would receive a better one, but that is one reason I could think of AC agreeing to extend the deadline. Right. That's the...

So with flair coming in to YKF, how will this affect Pivots planned scheduled flying out of there ? Seems to me the airport will be over saturated.

Cargo jet or Flair. AC will not take on TS now. Good luck bud. That aged well. Sorry bud, I think that AC777 looks better with my seniority. No need to apologize. You're on the bottom of the 737 F/O list and from the fine print I'm reading , you won't scratch anywhere near the surface of the ...

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Updated Purchase Price at $5 per share
Not gonna happen. Look around at the global situation. It was a great concept 2 years ago. Sometimes you have to take a loss if it means saving yourself. TS will be ok , you have the best reputation to compete with the new upstarts. AC will bury it in their tax credit . There is a pandemic clause.

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Updated Purchase Price at $5 per share
Is it true that the their is a deadline of Feb 15th to receive approval, after that, Air Canada can cancel the deal ? That's the way I understand it as well, without paying any termination fees. However both parties can also agree to extend this deal beyond the Feb 15th deadline. I expect some news...

Re: Air Canada Second Trip to C.C.A.A.?
I think it’s interesting to note that if Rouge had not entered the Leisure market and put excess capacity on all south/TATL routes I don’t think we’d find ourselves here today with a possible merger. Would AC buy TS if the Rouge brand was actually profitable? I don’t think so. With both competing s...

Ha! So not only do you own Air Canada and make their corporate decisions, you also do so with a malevolent hand? We all bow to you. Hilarious. You can't handle the truth ! If you were a nice guy I might be sympathetic to your jeuevenile tantrums. When you find time away from your video games take a look at the situation in the EU. They have every right to reject the the proposal as it stands now. Europe is crumbling and no one wants to venture there. Canadian industr...

Come TS get your facts straight. You know the payscales at AC are better using guaranteed minimums..At least recognize that... No doubt your payscale is way better; just want to point out that if you count the drafts etc. we too have pilots making huge numbers. Even as we speak we have some pilots ...

Anyway it’s all contingent on the EU approval. I’m sure our former Prez will be trying to block it for the benefit of AF. EU will approve the deal as AC just submitted concessions to make it happen. At the end EU will never prevent a transaction between 2 Canadian companies. As AT shareholders will...

I wonder why one group is targeted for the cuts. Because we have demonstrated our willingness. The other groups would laugh at the idea. No different than when AC wanted to start a different specialty company that eventually was named Rouge. No one else was asked to take cuts. There was no point in...

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Updated Purchase Price at $5 per share
Did any AC pilots get the Coles notes with what Calin said . I have them but I'm not posting the screen shot. I'll start by saying it was very specific its not the same as Canadian and AC merging because an acquisition is a takeover. Arirelle said "it's an ACQUISITION." He outlined Quote 1. " time f...
