Re: Canjet 757's ?
You will find that "pond" is a term many of us Atlantic Canadians affectionately refer to the North Atlantic as.

Re: Canjet losing Transat flying?
Boys, do not respond to Hogster330 digs about:" finally the 800s ". Give me a frigging break. What is that? and why do you think he would put that on a CanJet thread?. Merely to get you upset. He is deliberately throwing that out there to start sh*t so he can sit back and have a good laugh at the re...

Re: CANJET DOING GREAT!
Listen Stick Shaker, and all the rest of you who think our package is wanting. Understand this. The survival record of airlines in this country is not good. So many have tried to be profitable and failed. God knows, we, who have lived through all the previous versions of CanJet and Air Atlantic befo...

CANJET DOING GREAT!
Maestro, Re your question: " Is CJ losing flying I've heard from a few sources that this is happening ." Your sources are incorrect . CanJet is a well oiled machine and is meeting its perfromance targets. As far as we know, CanJet IS NOT losing any flying. Rumors to the contrary are without any meri...

Re: Air Transat Fleet
You got me there. I was with AA for 10 years and I thought they were around in one form or another for 10 before that. Anyway, the point was we just didnt fall of the turnip truck yesterday. We have lots of experience too. I can't speak to what you say other than based upon my experience as a profes...

Re: Air Transat Fleet
If AT decides to get their own NG's flown by you guys, well then thats that. All the best to you guys. What is of concern though is this inuendo that somehow CJ is not meeting the AT product standard. Other than a couple of hickups getting 9 birds into the air in late December, CJ provides a very go...

Re: Enerjet
I hope the negative speculation about EnerJet is inaccurate, however, for what its worth, CanJet is interviewing in February for a significant spring hire. Montreal and Toronto I heard so far, don't know about the west yet.
Good luck to all you folks and take care.

Re: Air Transat Fleet
Just a term, I meant nothing by it......lease, whatever, getting airplanes, hiring, training..etc, etc is expensive it probably would be less cost effective for you guys to do it, else you would be doing it now I would have thought. In any event, you would know more than I about AT's plans, and if t...

Re: Air Transat Fleet
........and, you may indeed have better info than I. However, I tend to think CJ will be evaluated on its overall seasonal performance not just a challenging start up of 9 additional airplanes, resulting in tripling the fleet, but security and weather factors that impacted all airlines in varying de...

Re: Air Transat Fleet
That doesn't make sense. Westjet was; and now CanJet, is doing a good job with their 14 birds. Initial start up was challenging, security in the states and weather but they have caught their stride and things are running smoothly. So you think AT will go out and encumber the cost to acquire what, 14...

Re: Air Transat Fleet
Yes 330's make sense for Transat. I have also been hearing for a number of years that Transat was first going to be getting a fleet of A320's, then for the last two years a fleet of B737-800's. Just a thought though, why would Transat, whose history has been one of fiscal conservatism and solid mana...

My only intent in my original post was to point out, perhaps too pragmatically, how all this stuff looks to an outsider. The pseudonyms combined with the rhetoric thats thrown around here against individuals within your organization does not, in my view, help you. I know there are a lot of hurt peop...

As a pilot with one foot in the little airplane world and another in the heavy metal world it always ticks me of that the little guy is always presumed to be in the wrong, lets look at the "Down East International" twit{with credits given to "Capt Jack" to use the name of his great series of articl...
