Re: Calm Air Pay
A search of negotech shows a contract from 2013 to 2018 as being current, so it looks like it's 2 contracts behind or my puter skills aren't up to it.

Re: 2 yr agreement vs. bond
Anyone know law. If you sign a 2 yr to stay agreement and leave before that, can a company claim training costs. There is nothing written about training bonds and they admit that. The only thing written is you forfeit the profit share and performance bonus which they hold for 2 yrs. Looks like you ...

Dockhand for Hooker Air was my first job in Jan.1972. An Otter pilot came in from a trip and told Jack they needed toilet paper up north. Jack's reply: "You're taking the first class mail on the next trip. Tell them to wipe their ass with that." Once you got to know him he was actually a great guy i...

Alpa dues are taken from your T4 pay. So it includes OT and any other pay, like check pilot extra wages. Not on employee share purchase or expenses.

Looks like they hit the power line. I can't believe how AC is downplaying this accident. The AP manager also calls it a hard landing, and the power going off was a coincidence.

The article doesn't say anything about deicing or not. If they just thought it was bad wx, that's shortsighted. They would have got off before the deicing. I suspect that the deicing was done properly and then they departed. A few more details will have to come out.

It's been since the 70's for me, but It seemed to be a little shy on legal payload. I would check that out with a modern operator first.

Just carry both booklets. Why would the medical stamp be good for only 90 days? There is no need for a sticker unless you are upgrading from a Cat 3 to a Cat 1 or something. It's all just stamps now that indicate when your last medical was done. ^this. Your next medical have the Doc stamp the new A...
