Re: Bradley Twin Otter Pictures

Worst thing First Air ever did was get rid of the twins, it was a great operation and although I was there for a short period of time, it was an awesome experience. That name edited guy, I thin that is his name, screwed things up pretty bad. IMHO Almost drove air inuit in the ground too!!!! I guess ...

Re: Dash 8 100/200/300 Endorsement Course

Air Inuit and Air Creebec both operate the DHC8....and both pay peanuts, voila. I cannot speak for AirCreebec, but know Air Inuit quite well, Air Inuit operates 10 -8's now I believe mixed 100 and 300's. Air Inuit may not be the highest paid company out there, but they do offer job security, benefi...

Re: Widow On The Radio Today .. Almost Coast To Coast

It is nice that pilots and flight attendants have duty days, but what about AME's? As some of you are aware AME's/apprentices could work 24 hours straight and it is only up to the AMO/company to say that enough is enough. Most maintenance is also carried out at night therefore the fatigue factor is ...

Re: King Air Suicide

Assuming no mechanical malfunction with the door or pressurization system, I would be curious as to how the passenger was able to overcome the pressurization safety bellows built into the locking mechanism. Every King Air 200 that I have worked on did not have a press bellows for the safety latch. ...

Re: MEL's

I agree with twinotterlover, if it's not in the MEL then you can't defer. Some AMO's have a system to track non airworthiness defects, such as cosmetic items, to be fixed at a convenient time. This system of course has to be in the TC approved MCM.

Not too sure if the standard burgundy log book is still available but all the apprentices that I work with download it from TC website. Re: AME for VAL ?

The only thing that sucks about VAL is that they think their employees are airplanes: we can put them anywhere and for an indefinate period of time. It would be an excellent place to work if they just realized that people should be treated as people, they would also get alot more out of the employee...

Airborne test set

Anyone know the PN for an airborne test set. This plugs into shop air, has a calibrated adjustable regulator, used to test press switches, etc.

Thanks in advance

Re: Question about 737-700 engine..

I wasn't aware there was such a thing as torque on a turbo fan engine. I was thinking that Boeing used EPR. Due to a lack of propeller there is not too much twisiting of the shaft. On the other hand I could be wrong. Torque- the measured ability of a rotating element, as of a gear or shaft, to overc...

Re: PT6 Compressor Stall....HELP!!!!

I had something similar on a -50 engine. We had removed a couple of the lower diffuser tubes because they had let go. Once we temp installed them everything went back to normal. The manual states that you can have a given number (maybe 3 or 4) missing given performance is not affected. As a last res...

737-200 Cockpit layout

I've looked on the internet and can't find a decent cockpit layout for the 737-200. What I need is a picture/photo/poster that I can zoom in on and still be able to see switches/lights.

Thanks in advance
