Re: Cargo TA

You do know we are at 63 hours as a work sharing agreement? There are MANY line Pilots that would be quite happy to go to 77.5 and you would continue to be laid off that much longer. You can't see past your nose to spite your own face. You know you can agree to have a 77.5 minimum AFTER the Covid M...

Re: Cargo TA

It's a little weird / sociopath to talk about yourself in the third person discountpilot. Since two of the P4C candidates were already members of the MEC do we know how they voted on this TA? And Cargo pays more than Rouge, only kicker is the Rouge overtime won't be there for the PIG flyers. What y...

Re: Cargo TA

A-Scale (mainline) B-Scale (Rouge) C-Scale (Cargo) Come 2023/2024 negots.... D-Scale for new hires and back to grandfathered rates. We spent the last 6 years bringing B-Scale closer to A-Scale, how much bargaining capital was used up in the best of times? If you're a Junior and voted Yes, then do n...

Re: Cargo TA

AC’s comparator is CargoJet and, as described, it has to be competitive with it. That is who one should be comparing the pilot contract with. And, AC’s pay rate, even at the 10% below mainline is still greater than CargoJet’s. It is true that the total wage at 63-hour block months is less than Carg...

Re: Cargo TA

Scared of P4C, now that's a laugh. I said when they first dropped their kimono that it would crumble under its own weight. I am all for change, just get the right players involved. Loud mouthed, disrespectful Pilots that have worked here for a couple months are not the answer. Reading some of the p...

Re: Cargo TA

Looks like this forum has been taken over by Pilots on Furlough, who think they have all the answers. Quite funny actually, we saw this after TA1 when a bunch of children stood at the back of the meeting and heckled the presenters. A couple of those clowns managed to get into elected positions and ...

Anyone who votes yes is a retard. Full stop. Well so far I've seen my YUL LEC chair support yes YVR Councilor beg to vote yes YVR LEC Chair says this is a 90% pay raise for a furlough Our YWG chair who is the head of the negotiations committee obviously supports his work. He essentially votes twice...

Well we have our first person publicly posting a YES on the other forum and I'm not at all surprised seeing the name of said poster.

Re: Cargo TA

As one of the 600 pilots on the street, I am pleased to read that the overwhelming majority of posters are opposed to this pathetic LOU. What worries me, however, is how representative this "NO" voice is of the 3700 pilots still on the payroll. I wanted to chime in to offer the perspective of a fur...

Re: Cargo TA

This vote should never have made it past the MEC. The pay cut is a done deal. We will likely vote yes. Even if we vote no it will likely end up in an arbitrators hands. The arbitrator will ram down our throat what the MEC agreed too. We leaned this during TA1 nearly a decade ago. We overwhelmingly ...

Re: Swoop alum

So very true. There are those that burn bridges and those that jump from ship to ship to ship and do nothing but cause damage. I'm still amazed how it only took 26 or so off the street hires to cause so much damage to this industry. Most are gone except for a few managers I think and it will take y...

Re: Cargo TA

Who said anything about FedEx or UPS wages? There is ZERO evidence this will save any jobs.. I'll believe it when I see it. Nothing in the LOU mentioning ratios, guarantees that there won't be reductions to move pilots and planes to cargo. It also sets us up for failure for any future fleet types mo...

Re: Swoop alum

Well when you're given the option of no job or Swoop, I can understand why people say yes. No different than this new Cargo LOU at AC. They will have no problem getting people to bid it. Which is why it's so important that unions sometimes do the thinking FOR the membership to save them from themsel...

Re: Cargo TA

1. The Company abandons this cargo initiative, blames the pilots for the lost opportunity and plans a delayed and much smaller airline coming out of 2021. This will mean many more layoffs and a much longer layoff for those already on the street. That's not how publicly traded companies work. They w...

Re: Cargo TA

I see the conspiracy theorists and nay-sayers are whipping themselves into a frenzy again. Keep it up!! The MOA was a different story, that was temporary. This is a permanent 10% pay concession on freight flying in order to "secure the flying" as the MEC loves to say. We don't need to secure anythi...
