Re: It is imminent.......be ready.

The union did an outstanding job building unity within the group. We are united and we are strike ready. The end of the story will be depend us. The government will intervene at some point, but that wont mather, the airplanes wont fly until we have the contract we deserve.

Re: DELTA CONTRACT 2024 = AC contract at a minimum!

Yeah I get all that but Im still convinced they will find a way to get us back to work…you forgot about the bloc quebecois….and Im still not sure the conservative would not approve it. Once we give that 72 hours notice, things will move fast and we need to stop thinking that it wont happen and start...

Re: DELTA CONTRACT 2024 = AC contract at a minimum!

I like the Idea and Im not planning on voting yes on anything less than Delta contract. Everyone seems to think that a strike will be enough to get what we deserve. But are the feds really gonna let us strike, if so for how long. I really doubt the government will let us walk for more than few hours...

Re: TA…HERE IT IS AND IT SUCKS

ULCC is just a brand strategy. Its still the same product, same market, same plane and SAME JOB! This TA will affect the whole industry so please vote wisely. Why would you accept anything less than WJ? Fixing the FO scale and getting YOS are bare minimums. If you match WJ, swoop payscale will most ...

Re: ACPA LOA?

Time to grab your phone and call everyone you know at AC. Seriously guys, we need all the no votes we can get before tuesday. I can see this big bid coming with hundreds of open CAPT position on it. They ll make sure that we know this bid is subject to MOA ratification. They are always one step ahea...

Re: ACPA LOA?

Dont get me wrong, Im a big no, but honnest question, if they dont come back to us what is gonna be our leverage next year and 2024. The hiring boom will be done at ac and we wont have much leverage left anyway.

Whats the plan to get real gains?

Re: ACPA LOA?

Hey folks sorry if its been asked before but is the mec chair still afiliated with p4c? I was under the impression that he was their mastermnd. And now he is trying to sell this 1988 tercel as a Tesla while p4c is telling us to vote no. I must have missed something. Back to the vote. I talked to a l...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

I would definitely go to Jazz. I heard MS saying they are looking specially for individuals with experience on similar aircraft type (boeing, Airbus) to fill the ots spots. 2000 hours is still low time I believe to get hired off the street unless you have something special like military experience. ...

Re: No pilot recalls until Spring 2023???

Whats funny about all this kiden garden fight is that this agreement was voted for at 77%. I dont get why everybody is angry about best fit when the majority voted for it. Personally I voted no to this AIP for other reasons, but I rather have control on my days off when I sit senior on reserve than ...

Re: Cargo TA

Thanks Rudder,
I do understand how its gonna end and that we have no control on that. Maybe my question was not clear enough so ill ask again...for the TRANSAT ppl: what outcome would be fair to you.

What kind of ratio would make you happy. Again its just a personal question, no Judgment.

Re: Cargo TA

I red the whole thread and the other one talking about merger and I think we all know what the ac guys think about it. I think we all get it. But it seems like the transat guys are more quiet about how they think it should be done. Just curious if anyone from the ts team would lile to share on what ...

and a few more garranteed days off to match Mainline WACON Please quote the reference in the collective agreement where it states the number of guaranteed days off for the widebody fleet please. RippleRock, I'm with you on everything, the only problem is that the ones who are still on the fence don't read this forum, certainly not the other one, so they dont have all the facts. I do what I can on my side with my contact list and I hope for the best.

I hear you, makes no sense to me. The first fin is coming back on Sunday from MZJ to YYZ so this thing is happening no matter what. You should spend some time to reach out and tell the word to your friends. Turnout is around 30% so there is still time to reverse it.

Re: Cargo TA

From what I hear around me, I feel it will pass. Sad but it is what it is, people are scared to loose that flying. At this point, the company will probably come back with a 50% pay cut to compete with swoop and flair. Like they say, secure the flying now and fix it later....can't wait.

Re: Cargo TA

I dont come here often but I did this time to see what everyone is thinking about this deal. If it passes, it will be on all of us, not just YUL or YVR. We will need to accept it and live with it for a long time. There is a big debate going on in YUL right now and its hard to say what side will win....
