The worst part about flying a Dash 8.The aircraft did not have a navigation screen showing the aircraft’s position on a map, which would be another tool available to help the flight crew build their situational awareness of the aircraft’s position.

Re: Emirates after AC
Great post Red Comet. I especially agree with what you said about Dubai being more honest about their slave class. Canada has also imported a slave race but shamefully try to pretend it's for virtuous reasons. Nobody is buying it anymore except for the older generation that needs to believe so they ...

Would it be practical to put a transponder on them so planes could avoid hitting them with TCAS?

I feel for the Flair pilots. It must be so stressful worrying about your job at a company that has a major financial scandal every few months. I hope they can land at somewhere more stable if this is the final nail.

Re: BA versus YYZ controllers
Approach clearance is a big deal for British pilots because over there it's normal to be cleared to intercept the localizer first before you are cleared to descend on the glide path. For some reason these controllers are believing they are literally in control of our aircraft and are forgetting they...

Well slamming your airliner into pavement not designed for landing is likely to damage property.

TC can fine you whenever they want with one of the multiple ambiguous or subjective regulations. Things like Reckless or Negligent Operation of Aircraft.

Re: Recent bid 25-05
Interesting, we were told that we are losing about that many to AC the next few months, that’s pretty much ends OTS for the next while. What a coincidence that the bid shows exactly the the same amount of pilots that the company has agreed to hire from Jazz. There are legal reasons why bids won't s...

Re: AC Incident Nashville
Using final reserve fuel is pretty serious on large aircraft. Like on the 777 I think you're limited to 20 degrees of flap and shallow pitch angles once the low fuel warning comes on. Always carrying enough to get to your alternate without getting into that situation would improve safety.

Strength as a personal characteristic has been beaten out of us and labelled toxic. When's the last time there's been a strong political candidate for the Conservatives or the Liberals? I swear one Strongman could take over this entire country with ease.

Unfortunately the only support for you from our pussy union is to tell us not to wear anything that identifies us as Air Canada at the picket if we choose to go. I think what you are doing is incredible and will help labour all across Canada.
