Brock knows what he's doing when it comes to code share. While at Canadian, Brock put the CP/BA deal together along with CP/LH, CP/QF/NZ, CP/PR/Mandarin Airlines. After CP, he became VP Strategy for Star Alliance.
I have no idea about the other team.

The thing I like about your posts, Complex, is they mirror my view, saving me from writing.
I read a tread like this and I can't believe some people would like to see the industry shrink. Then, they'll have more to whine about. Unless I'm missing something.

You are correct our health care system is not perfect, but what would you say is a better system? Maybe pay huge premiums for private insurance that will run out if your care runs over a predetermined amount or have that insurance company deny a claim for any small reason they can. Because we all k...

Is there anyone that doesn't technically qualify for dual citizenship unless you're native Canadian? This is epic lol. What does bother me is, using your example, someone immigrating here becoming a citizen then becoming an expat. Now you're not paying taxes or contributing to canada, but I bet if ...

With the right interline prorate agreements in place, he can make life pretty unpleasant for European carriers that top up belly. This actually an easy game to get into. Not all airlines of the world fly to Canada but many fly to Europe and they look for opportunities to either fill their planes or ...

Increasing ASM's simply means they added capacity. While it's important to list ASM and RPM measure for load factor comparison. Increasing RPM's is not that hard to do. It's easy to fill an airplane. Price it right and people will fly. Making good money is the challenge. Asking how their yield did Y...

That "Abstract" on the left side of the page is one sentence. Furthermore, it's hard to read, meanders from one thought to another. Very poor writing. It doesn't make me want to read on. In fact I never finished the abstract. And why call it an abstract?
Good idea, but poor execution.

You can do such flights at Meribel, Courcheval and Megeve. All three are paved, one way in-one way out runways. The airplane is a Jodel Mousqetaire. Low wing, taildraggers with near stol performance. They put them on wheel skis in the winter. Megeve is close to Geneva, about an hour away. You can bo...

Excellent post. I worked for Canadian and had a meeting in YVR one morning with the owner of Skylink. I can't remember his name but knew his military flying background with another nation. Anyhow, I got to the south terminal and went to his office. While waiting to see him, I learned about the Terra...

Air Canada took the European routes because that's where the traffic was. CP was given less than sexy routes until the 80's when Asian traffic boomed. We went as a family to europe twice when I was a youngster, first time in 68, second time in 72. On one jaunt, the aircraft was painted in PWA color...
