nope.. and its been over a month but one of my references did say they called last week.. at imp now.. pays not bad.. don't have to really do work and the 7 30 to 4 is good.. with ot i can make alot more at imp.. but the benifits suck.. and does one really want to get stuck in the imp trap.

thats the problem with the cadet program now the people don't put as much back in as they get out of it.. now if you had been lookin for someone to work on the bird dogs for the summer I would be keen lol good luck.. hope you find someone :)

when did anyone really work at imp... you get paid just to show up and fill a spot as imp bill out for you being on the clock.. and there is nothing in the collective agreement for liecensed guys.. as a licensed engineer covers about 3 of their job titles. Seems the licensed guys are doing inspector...

to bad they are mostly gone from north america.. 4 engines bad 2 engines good... i worked on a 146 that went to air atlantic.. hope it wasn't that one.

I got a set of them snap on spline wreches off ebay for cheap 1/4 up to 5/8 i think. and ya they are great for case bolts on engines where you need a thin side wall because the bolts are so close to flanges and the sides of the case.. http://cgi.ebay.ca/SNAP-ON-ANGLE-HEAD-DOUBLE-BOX-SPLINE-WRENCH-1-...

the revers guts in my first pair went to crapps only after a couple uses.. needles to say i was PO but got them replace no problem.. and i will check out home depot as i need 12point stuff..

i know lots of people that where cadets that have 1000 hours or more.. but they didn't get it just threw the cadet program.

as for tow planes i thought they primarily used the L19... the bird dog

that tail drgger time will def help with becoming a tow pilot but he also needs to be still active with cadets (ie be in the CIC) and have 150hrs pic for this region and 100PIC for regions that fly a scout. And that he needs 100hrs night crosscountry for his eventual ATPL and that the more he builds...

a friends hubbie was an ame on fixed wing he got laid off and decided to go for his helicopter liecense.. he is now workin out west and his wife told me alot of the customers request him as they feel more confidant knowing he can fix it as well if something happens in the bush

If you go to college then join up you can join semi skilled and have to just take basic training and a cross over course (think its like 10 weeks)instead of the year long military course at cfsair. If you where a member of a reserve unit less than 5 years ago you can go direct entry. that been said ...
