As long as the blanking plate does not leak , the line is caped and you have approval to run with out it . There will be no damage to the gear box.
I have 25 years of Maint experience on the plane to back up my claim.

King Air is a pig on one engine, keep the gear up and flaps as long as possible if your doing your ride.
Also stay high and fast.
I have 2700 hours on it and those are the rules I lived bye.

Ran into the same problem.
As far as I'm conserded, shoot the approach.
If Atc says you can go for it,the chances of mising a ILS approach is rare.
Stop worrying about intrapment,you need a GD transport Guy to figure the Reg's out sometime.
I made it in with a RVR of 1200 and my ass didn't even Puker.

Makes me feel good that my Taxes are being used to train the cocky little shit how to fly. The only saving grace is, when they come out of school they know everything so it cuts down on training cost.

I Had about 1500 hours flying European and American registered aircraft when I went to get my ATPL and I had no problems with TC. They never ask to see my Licences to fly those aircraft. Did a 6 month Maint Contract in Abu Dhabi a few years back, Hot as hell but I had A good time, Conditions were good and the pay was ok.
