Re: New Routes
Why doesnt Westjet do Calgary-Houston? I cant understand that. There is so many people travelling between Calgary and Houston. Industry wise they are almost sister cities. I bellieve Continental alone does it 4 times a day. I think WJ could get a big piece of that pie. As for Dogshit, the RNP shortg...

Re: WJ flt. 54 lands and takes off rwy 13 at YYJ
I fly out of there quite often and usually they taxi down runway 2 to get to runway 9. so Im on a westjet 737-600 heading to edmonton and as usual the captain pulls out onto runway 2 as im sitting there reading my book and all of a sudden he powers it up and takes off down runway 2. I was shocked a...

Re: Any new WJ CSAs????
Airports hiring is at a stand still. Unless operationally required, all back-filling must be signed off by at least a VP. I wouldn't count on a job until late 2010 or early 2011 at the earliest; most stations are overstaffed by 10-20 CSAs. Those positions you're seeing are mostly secondment opportun...

I've been told 6. Not sure if that was 6 crews or 6 pilots (3 crews).skyhigh wrote:Hey Dave, how many crews do we hire per A/C?

Go to BFI to see the Museum of Flight, a 707 Air Force One, and a Concord.
Go to RNT and PAE for the Boeing flight lines.
Well worth the line at the Peace Arch.

i have stated this at least four times... we are not anti law. we love the law, just not the way it is manipulated by power hungry corperations. you live in a wonderful country where the government has a self purifying system within it.. and that is the people. we are the ones that have a duty to t...

Re: New Routes
We are currently a little heavy on the pilot side of things. Any truth to the rumour of LOA's being offered to the pilots? In addition to the opportunity for part-time flying for pilots, there is a voluntary LOA being offered to all positions. I know of a few pilots who are taking six months off to...

 Mea Culpa. Sometimes I just can't turn down an impossible challenge. I really wanted them to admit that they are lying, hypocritical, bloodsucking leeches on society, but the slippery pig comparison doesn't come close to describing how good they are at evading simple direct questions. Well sa...

Re: Love Letter to WestJet Employees
so not only did west jet assume an extra step in thier duties, meaning they are supposed to ask. thats it. nowhere does it expressly state that they MUST SEE ID on a domestic flight. Not true. All guests aged 18 and over are required to present at the gate, during boarding, one piece of valid gover...

I find it funny that people who have never studied law, statute interpretation or trained their brain with LSAT's will argue about what is in an Act or regulations.... How about this for a compromise: You contact whatever airline well in advance and explain that you are opposed to carrying gov't issued id, but you will happily show them a utility bill or a couple of letters from guarantors saying you are who you are. Perhaps even email them links to your forums a...

First off, what the @#$!?!! You have a lot of free time on your hands buddy! No you won't because the Supreme Court has deemed you to be a certified...
