Crash pad YVR?

Transferring to YVR next month, anyone know of any crash pads avail?
In lieu of that how 'bout good hotel deals for AC pilots? (besides those on aeronet)

I have a few loose ends to tie up before I move the family, but need a pad in the mean time.
Any help appreciated! pm if you want

Re: Young A330 FO

Mostly because (as far as KLM goes) the pay scale is based on seniority and not equipment. So you'll see more older guys flying the planes with shorter range while the young'uns fly the long range. The way it should be. What difference does it make that you kill 100 people vs 300 people. To me, if ...

Re: New Pilot Uniform

Well said Neo, well said The current "generation" just doesn't seem to get it. You're right we don't get it. We don't get how weak pilots sporting blazers and caps all of a sudden become strong pilots. I think it's great what AC is trying. Trying to casual it down without losing the professional loo...

OK, maybe I should clarify my post. Bar XH is not the "worst" as in pay, schedule, or the way you are treated. Quite the opposite actually. The instructors are good, planes are in good shape (When they get looked at) and students on the most part seem happy. What I meant by my post was that don't go...

Do not go to Bar XH to be an instructor. This is the worst place - it used to be so good, but not anymore. They could have one of the best flow through systems in the whole Canadian market. Student - to instructor - to King Air FO - To Navajo Captain and all the way up. But for some reason they woul...

Porter Airlines and GTA

Hey guys! Just wondering if anyone can give some info on Porter Airlines. I did run a search, but was unable to find some things (mostly just salary). Anyone know what the current scheduling is like? As well does the schedule allow for commuting (not the flying type but driving) or are you pretty mu...

Sometimes its hard to sit on one side of the fence. It seems that the airlines are making it harder for guys to say no to crappy pay. I turned down a DEC job at CMA because of pay and bases, then got PFO'd at Jazz soon after. I'm trying not to look back because I'm curently making 52K as a 1st year ...

Next Jazz GS - Dec?

Hey does anyone know when the next Jazz groundschool is? And any subsequent GS after?

Heard the new bid has 47 new hires - plenty of bases and A/C.

Got an interview in a couple weeks, and trying to make a decision on a couple of different offers.

Any comments appreciated!

OK Flightlevels here's a question for a guy in the know.

If a person gets 2 offers - one for left seat at CMA and the other for Jazz - from your perspective, what job would look better for tailoring your resume for the Westjet matrix?

Lets say they already meet WJ bare mins.

Whoa! Sorry I started all this, didn't mean to get anybody all wound up. Was just asking a simple question, don't know much about GGN except that I've heard they are a good company to work for. That's why I thought I would drop them a line. OK, captain and seniority issues aside, lets start a new ar...

Thanks for the quick reply V1! Don't worry I won't embarrass myself. Heard through second hand info that they were looking for DEC, or quick upgrade to Capt. Was just looking for info. I know for sure that CMA has hired DEC, or in 3 months Capt and if not then pay as Capt after 3 mos. However I'm ol...

Just curious Highlander, how many hits on workopolis did you have?

Waiting for a call myself but no action on that site for a while.

Views? Calls?

Hey has anyone heard if Jazz is putting out calls for interviews in the coming weeks?

Been checking workopolis, but no views for a little while. Anyone else getting hits?

Here's hoping that a guy can still get in and get a good # before the next industry downturn!

Any comments are appreciated
