Re: Would you rather...
The way the industry is it doesn’t matter the type of time, time is time you’ll get hired regardless.... That's interesting. Because I'm not an instructor. I own a plane (Vans RV) and all my time is literally amateur. I talked to someone from Ornge as well as SkyCare (Navajo) and they didn't mind t...

Re: Would you rather...
To add to the points already made, assuming you have 500hrs you’re an instructor? If not then take what gives you the pic time to sign off your ATPL’s. I’ve seen a lot of 2000+ hour people who rushed to go to the airlines having to spend their allowances (because it’s not a salary with what we make)...

Re: Is it realistic to be a PT flight instructor
It really boils down to your work ethic. I’m a part time flight instructor and how I balanced my “9-5” was ask my company to work Monday to Thursday 8-6 to fulfill the “40hr” per week then instruct Friday Saturday Sunday. What “5x5” said is true you won’t have a social life or family life but it boi...

Being a better flight instructor
What are some resources (youtube, books, forums) I can use to help me be a better flight instructor? I really enjoy instructing and I feel there's more I can learn to better serve my students and give them the most effective learning experience possible. TIA

Re: Skylink express worth it?
Skylink hired a 400 hour pilot last month, the new hire had no commercial experience, bought a plane and flew around to 400 hours then got hired. I take they’re hurting for pilots. Interviewed with them pre covid, god what a mess. Told me they’d call me between 0800-1400, who gives a 6 hours window...

Re: The iATPL programme in Brampton and Jazz Approach
I believe the majority of you have an ultimate goal of getting into an airliner ASAP. Did some research on iATPL programme in Brampton Flight Center (BFM), it stated that " Successful students who have completed 250 hours of total flying, and have achieved a minimum cumulative score of 80% on the A...
