Re: Some flights unavailable on myidtravel

Hello, When I try to book flights operated by WS since this year (ex Sunwing) they just don't appear on myidtravel. Either ZED or Jumpseat. Do you know when it's gonna be available? Thanks! I found out that some of the flights (with certain European carriers) are not available to book if I select "...

I see this as good news, especially if it's any precursor to commercial air service returning to YGK. I miss Jazz going there, but at this point, I'll welcome anyone, be it Jazz, Porter or someone else.

Re: Westjet 737 Gear collapse in SXM today

It's funny when "Canadian/American" pilots complain about English proficiency, when they're the most undisciplined communicators in the sky, opting to use their own phrases instead of ICAO standard phraseology. I guess you haven't flown much outside N America. I would rate India as the most undisci...

I'm not pointing the finger at anyone in particular. It's just a general observation about North America in general, especially in the US.

I love reading the title of the post thinking "mmhh thats interesting, lets see what EU airlines people like", to just jump to the end of the thread and people talking about Tanks and army. Surreal  This place is like a case study in high-functioning, aviation-flavored ADHD. One minute it’s “f...

Re: Where in Canada can you get an ICAO English assessment?

It will depend on the requirements of the overseas airline's civil aviation authority. Some will just accept your Canadian license, others won't. If they don't, they likely will require a test by one of their approved providers, making it a moot point to get a test proactively in Canada. If you nee...

Where in Canada can you get an ICAO English assessment?

Hi,

I'm looking to get an official ICAO English assessment in Canada. Does anyone know who administers it? Somewhere that's officially recognized. I'm a native English speaker, but (I believe) I still need an official assessment proving that, for overseas airlines.

Thanks.

I'd work for KLM Cityhopper (Is that "KLM", or a partner of KLM?). They fly great planes and go to interesting places. I just flew with them two weeks ago, on the E190... and I wouldn't have to work too hard to get a new type rating.

Re: A legacy airline in ULC Clothes

I've heard similar explanations before, but is that really the root cause though? Or is it that airlines are trying to capture more market share by intentionally offering lower costs products so more people will fly? I don't think current passengers' complaints are the reason for this new price str...

Let's see if my memory serves me correctly: In 1998 was the 3rd time I flew on an airplane. Before that, it was 1993 and flew BUD-PRG-YYZ on a CSA Tu-154/A310, respectively. That Tu-154 was absolutely amazing. The engines, sound... ... ah, let's get baack on topic. So in 1998 I fly from Toronto to F...

Air Canada was my one hope that things can be better in this country. The low (starting pay) and (high) cost of living in YYZ, YVR, YUL just makes this unbearable.
