Re: What should happen to the Yes voting members of the MEC?
As this "World Class Contract" ages like a rotten diarrhea dump fermenting in the tank of a B777 out of Delhi, what should the members that voted 'Yes' do? Resign? Get recalled? Go into hiding? Post a selfie about some shit about "Moving Together"? Maybe another video from the hills of the Taliban ...

Re: Porter vs AC
With less than optimal load factors porter is not making enough money to keep the first fins past heavy check. Their aircraft orders are to ensure a revolving door of new fins to replace the older ones. Having AC buy them has been Deluce’s game plan since their inception. Won’t happen. As for the e...

Re: ACA starting position
1 year starting from when you're line checked. Don't forget you have to interview with your managers to get off it as well. So at least 2 yrs. Some on the union never had this probationary release interview! Quite the dog and pony show. No. It was 15 months for me and the probation release was not ...

ALPA unity and over age 65 Question
Some Canadian ALPA carriers allow over 65+ in the right seat.
When AC ratifies ALPA from ACPA, would these pilots be offered the same opportunity? Because then if all carriers become ALPA, the optics translate to age discrimination.
Thoughts?

Re: ALPA Petition
Same old anti ALPA fear mongering, somehow a merger between Jazz and AC would go DOH. Christ, the Canadi>n Pilots didn't get DOH and they had 747-400's and a superior route structure. AC has hired hundreds (probably a thousand) Jazz pilots over the last few years through a negotiated flow through, ...

Re: Upcoming Global Economic Downturn
I agree there will be a big downturn especially in Canada where the housing market is going to crash. Current expectations are now looking at 5-6% interest rates at the central banks which means mortgages are going to be 7-8%. If anyone has doubts as to what that will do to the Canadian economy you...

Re: P4C members terminated
Well one was unjustifiably terminated with a cause that has holes big enough you could fly a 747 through it…slam dunk legal win for him…and he should rightfully be the MEC Chair or CEO by now The other was allegedly caught badmouthing the company on social media…while on furlough...sounds like grou...

Re: ALPA is not the answer, current ACPA isn't either
You’re absolutely correct, the contract is sh!t at Jazz. You’ve got an ALPA union of a regional carrier competing against both ACPA and AC management. 2 against 1 will lose every time. Post Covid we can compare the track records of each union, ALPA vs. ACPA. ALPA appears to firing on all cylinders ...

Re: How did Air Canada end up with embarrassing pay?
The union thinks they are intelligent as Steven hawking but in reality, all you’re dealing with is spineless individuals. The company isn’t that bad. They want to change flat pay. The union wants to revisit the contract in its entirety versus address inflationary pressures on the most junior members...

Re: What to expect as a new Fo.
Lowest paid 330 FO on Earth I can’t comment on whether he will be lowest paid 330 FO on earth. But, he won’t be the lowest 330 pilot after the flat pay is finished. There are worse positions to be in in aviation than sitting in the right seat of a 330 on flat pay. He, and every other pilot, knew wh...

Did ACPA know these 23 pilots were vocal about joining ALPA at cj?RightPlaceWrongTime wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 10:12 am It would be nice if ACPA could criticize Air Canada for their numerous contract violations. Seems like ACPA cares more about 23 pilots vs the group of 600.
