Re: Jazz laying off Pilots!!! It is happening

What a stupid thread. Everyone at Jazz knows that there hasn't been any pilot layoffs and that nothing was announced either.

Why start BS on Jazz laying off pilots when there's absolutely no truth to that?

I don't get it?

Re: A mild beef with WestJet.

Like buying and paying for a truck with a V8 and taking delivery with a V6. I understand the logistics in changing something but if they want to lower the baggage weight limits, start now for future flights with no bookings yet and take the hit for all the flights already booked. Besides, it's only ...

Re: base trade

Who cares about the flying. It's all the same in the end. A hotel is a hotel. A leg is a leg. An airport is an airport. The only thing different about YYZ is you sit on your ass for longer periods of time in a row. You'll work the same amount of days and if you're on reserve, you'll max out. Enjoy t...

Re: The airlines and fuel----are they stupid?

Of course we get paid to fly! What do you think the airline industry is, a non-profit organization??? We're professionals and we get paid to do what we do. If the airlines raise the ticket costs to compensate for the fuel costs and alot of people decide to fly less, there might be less work out ther...

Re: Full Throttle Emergency - Dead sticking a Pawnee short final

Any single engine plane can be looped safely. If done right, you can do it maintaining positive g's and not exceeding 2 or 3. Right Hedley? You'd know better than me but I've done loops with 182's, 206's and some turbines as well. I've always wanted to try it on floats but never had the balls to do ...

Give the kid a break Strega, he did good. -I would have turned off the master too. Who needs it anyway. Prepare for the worse and hope for the best right? -Intentional shut down or not, a deadstick is a deadstick. Ever try to start an engine at full throttle? Didn't think so. Nice flying, I'll drink...

Re: Bose headset in RJ doesn't work right

Thanks for the info guys, I'll look into it. Don't need the noice cancelling in it but it sucks to have a 1000$ headset that doesn't work right. I'll get it fixed and then probably sell it. The windshield heat and metal in the cockpit is an interesting theory however I also get the feedback when it'...

Bose headset in RJ doesn't work right

Anybody have a Bose that they use in the RJ?

With the noice cancelling on I get a loud squelch/feedback out of the left ear cup. Is my headset f-cked or has anyone seen this problem as well?

Re: Tips on flying Jump Planes?

Expat, you obviously are doing something wrong if you're coming close to a stall on every drop. I've flown over 2000 hours flying jumpers with everything from a 182 to King Airs and bigger turbine machines with 22 jumpers and I've never stalled once. I've had guys sitting on the wings and climbing a...

Re: Tips on flying Jump Planes?

I dropped a load out at 10 grand and then continued up to 15000ft with one pax (in a 206) and my boss was wondering where the hell I was. I said Julie wanted some extra altitude. He was totally cool with it but said next time you do it, I'd appreciate it if the plane was in the hangar without the en...

Re: TSA forces woman to remove nipple rings w. pliers

What I absolutlely can't stand is having to take off my shoes and belt when going through security in uniform operating the flight. It's a friggin joke having to do that at the small airports when you can use the bypass at the bigger ones like YYZ or YUL. I never take out my computer and one out of ...
