Canadian pilots need to stop being pussies and start causing chaos until respect is given.
Respect is earned and the ways of giving in for the "best deal" over & over again is making alpa look bad. Enough with the suits. Time for action.
What a dumpster fire

Alaska Gives Employees Record Bonuses The airline is calling this year's payout the largest ever. Alaska Airlines will pay out $327 million in annual bonuses to its 23,000 employees. The record-setting bonus equates to about six weeks worth of additional pay, the airline said. https://airlinegeeks....

Bob, You didn't wear a lanyard because you're a giant pussy Oh yes…… because wearing a lanyard carries with it so much danger and risk. Only a true Sigma Male can wear a lanyard that absolutely nobody cares about except for the delusional who thinks it makes an iota of difference… as empirically de...

Re: 67% yes
You didn't lose it, that amount was rolled into the new TAFB per diem system. Which overall is a 30% increase over the old system (tax fee). “Rolled into” is another way of saying “used to finance the new increase” It’s not a 30% raise when you give up some else to get it. It’s a five dollar allowa...

Re: To our furloughed pilots
Using the fear of loss to push the yes vote is a pretty smart move I must admit.
Too bad it doesn't make any sense. I am friends with several lawyers and they can't believe some of the propoganda pushed to get a yes vote. Obviously this MEC is pretty nervous that this very marginal TA would fail.

Let's not forget it's the pilots voting yes on these terrible contracts. Maybe ALPA knows them better than they know themselves. MEC Chair...recommends this TA MEC...selling it Tim Perry ALPA President...Essentially endorsing it... ALPA National...wants this done I'd say pretty big sales...

Comical... WB international flying is WB international flying….whether teal or red. 7 x 787s is a lot different than 90 widebodies going to all continents (Antarctica doesn't count) with many more on order WJ is not a Flag Carrier. Air Canada is. It's apples to oranges Well, compare AC to Delta and...

Re: What is the acceptable industry discount on Canadian pilots?
There needs to be some sort of matrix involved. The conditions in the USA did not always exist. Indeed there was a time when US pilots were paid as bad or worse.. and they still are outside of 121 where the 1500 hour rule doesn’t apply. The first part would be to ask how many pilots in Canada made ...

Re: Did ACPA nearly cause a Scope Collision?
The CRJ550 has been in service with United Express since 2019. It’s certainly possible that the language of the MOA was intended to allow Air Canada to contract with United Airlines in order to have some portion of Jazz’s trans-border flying be covered under a code share agreement with one of Unite...

It is bad. The guys who made the sacrifice now tho will reap the benefits. Upgrade times here will outpace everything by the 2028-2030s when retirements hit record numbers. 170k now is good but your future at AC is still much better especially once the contract gets settled. Most Jr captain was hir...

It certainly does...no MEC should be bringing forward divisive TAs.
WJ's was ratified at 80 plus percent
Any failed TA is reflection on not only the company but the leadership at that time

It should be clear that sim evals are necessary because there is a pay shortage at Air Canada not a pilot shortage
This management team would rather saves pennies by taking what they can get versus actually trying to attract experienced pilots from other carriers.

They were striking here... So...no?? Im old, and my memory fading fast, but, pretty sure we were information picketing in 2012, prior to the lockout. What's crazy is all the shills that backed management by supporting their golf tournament / motorbike riding association: ACPA
They have notably gone missing.
Maybe some will be at the September 29th picket in YYZ?

Yeah 30% bump in take home pay is minuscule. This won't fix the retention issue, but it will make a huge difference to the first officers who are living on store brand instant ramen. Agreed, won’t fix the problem but in the meantime it will help a lot of pilots make ends meet. If the economy holds ...

Calin used to compare AC to North American Legacy carriers
Then the data got so bad the narrative had to change
We went from comparing ourselves to Delta, to alternative US companies to now having to look at 3rd world countries
