Re: Canadian North Dash Position

Work is underway to get them on the OC at this time.

If Canadian North is advertising the position then it is for Canadian North aircraft.

Re:

On Westjet, it's $2.50 for the reciprocal pilot agreement plus AIF and security fees. Hell of a deal and I try to pop my head in to say thanks if I have the opportunity. Previously we had to use passes and go through the hoops... now we make a phone call and list ourselves... much easier! AC has bee...

The green player in Manitoba is partnered with a company that did international medevac work as Critical Care International a number of years ago.

I'm sure it wouldn't take too much to get it back up and running compared to starting the operation from scratch.

Tier Two First Officer: greater than 1500 TT and 500 MPIC
all aircraft types: $30,000/annum base plus mileage
Captains – All Aircraft: Year #1 $30,000.00 / annum base plus 0.10/ mile
Something a little wrong there.

So the Captain, who is flying with the "experienced" F/O(most likely a former instructor with no 703 experience), makes the same base salary... very nice !

I was enjoying a tour of the CC-177 flight deck yesterday afternoon in Inuvik with one of our F/A's. What a machine and my first time looking through a modern day military HUD!

Yup... north of 60 there is no approach ban based on ground visibility. If there is RVR ( R unway V isual R ange), Yellowknife for example, the approach ban is in effect. 1600 RVR is the limit on the ILS. If there is a R unway V isual R eport, reported by another pilot for example, along with a grou...

Even with TCAS I'll always look outside and for the most part the first thing we see of the closing/crossing traffic is the contrail, if there is one, and then it's dependent on aspect and where the sun is for a visual at longer distances.

I heard that Canadian North will be putting their own crews on the -8's once they have the opportunity to get the crews off the Boeing and trained up on the 8's.

I'd be applying to Canadian North if you want to fly a Canadian North machine.

No 200 hours pilot is able to land solo, with a small piston or turbine twin, on a runway covered by ice in a 35 KT crosswind. No seasoned and highly experienced arctic medevac captain would land on an ice covered runway with a 35 knot crosswind either. Asia is going to be a very scary place...

Actually, running over 100 km/h on that big wide piece of ice and drifting around the corners in a 4 wheel slide was fun, fun fun!

Had a Caribou burger in town then drove back knocking over 30 minutes off my time out... wife had white knuckles but... fun, fun, fun! :)

Resurrected is more appropriate since they operate a former CP Boeing and have a former CP driver on board.
