he is very lucky. So the bid will be out before he finishes training. Will the company stop his training if that is what he bid. He is elgible to bid after the 550 course. I will pass the word on that September there will be a bid. I will also take his spot if they will let me!!!

When in the next AC equpment bid??????????????/

I have a friend trying to get off the EMJ before he finishes training. Anyone have an idea when the next bid is. Can he delay training at all to avoid back to back training cycles. I think he starts class on the 21st.

not about the money in the beggining bro, happy to be there. But some love to fly so if possible flat pay and TO/Landings is more lucrative then 10 to 10 as a rp.

Dude dont get me wrong if I get called I dont care what I get, neither does my friend. However, As pilots we want to fly and keep sharp. I think being a rp would be alot of fun, but you skills get a bit rusty. Coming from someone who loves to fly, I would rather be working alot doing TO and Landings...

thanks for the reply. Is it fair to assume that a new hire can bid the embraer if he wants, or are most slots RP. If you get an RP is it quick to bid out to a flying position?

Has the 320 been opened for new hires to bid in Aug?

Just wondering if the 320 is going to be open for new hires for the Aug class. Is it possible to avoid an rp position if hired in an Aug class. Still waiting here, so it doesnt really matter, but have a friend going next month.

I am sure most comments made on this board are from a humourous viewpoint. Pilots making fun of pilots! We all know getting hired someone is a bit of a lottery. The best may get called last or not at all, and the weakest may get called first. I think most on this board will be happy if you are hired...

seems like you need to know someone these days. Its sad to see good pilots being passed up on here for people like that! People slip through everywhere, just flew with a girl who couldnt enter a hold in a Airbus 320. My 4 year old nephew could enter a hold in an airbus lol

thats BS, thats why the interview should consist of 1) interview from line pilots. 2) Sim eval 3)training records and recomendations. Plus when I did the cog test, the darn pen didnt work half the time lol! 9 weeks no pfo, hanging on to the tail for dear life lol!

I guess, I have done the same. I wonder why it would take someone so long to decide to hire someone or not. Anyhow, I got called back for the medical and I believe that the Hr girl said they would only call back successfull applicants for the medical. However this does not appear to be true. Oh well...

Hey BC flyer, did u go back for the medical, did your friend that got the pfo at 3.5 months did he get called for the medical. I am not sure why it would take that long to reject someone. I have never seen any company hire this way, but then again its their call.

I dont know these guys and they cant vouch for me but they are willing to go down and ask. Good or bad idea. ...
