Re: Time to end this circus: Claude has to go
As a guy that saw how ACPA tried to cling on to its corruption ring, this is a huge red flag. I don't know details of this Jazz fiasco, but when there is smoke... This is exactly the tactic they tried to control the desire for change...by threats with harassment & defamation. This is a classic move...

Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow
This is all so sad. Jazz gave away their biggest hammer -> job action. Job action is the core of union strength & leverage. You sign a 20 yrs deal which is absolutely insane. You gave away your greatest tool, possibly forever. Now you are relying on lawyers, who aren't even unionized themselves gene...

Re: Does ALPA expel pilot groups that lower the bar?
ALPA is good. The best damn pilot union by a long shot. Just take a look at the morons of ACPA or APA to see the difference But also look at the gong show currently going on at FedEx or what United pilots went through to finally get a strong agreement There are no guarantees because you're at ALPA. ...

There is a lot of finger pointing going on in this thread. I’m almost out the door. So I’m part of the generation that got us here. And yes it’s bad. I can equivocally state to everyone that without determined pilots coming to Air Canada over the last decade. Coming here with the intention to make ...

Ripple,
Proton is an AC pilot who loves Jalmer, doesn't believe pilots are getting greencards, thinks we are going to arbitration and was skeptical of ALPA
Apparently he is now skeptical of your skepticism of this deal from ALPA.
In other words...a floater

Re: Is the ACPA Motto: "We will get'em next time" gone?
Serious question. So the BOD told management that the priority was to “ protect the summer.” Makes sense. So my question is, would it be possible for us to go on strike in June when we have the most financial leverage? My read of this mediation is the earliest we could strike is Aug. Is this the ca...

Is the ACPA Motto: "We will get'em next time" gone?
Just read the latest message from the MEC and it seems finally we have a pilot leadership team that isn't into the mantra: "We will get'em next time" Being forced into an impasse would have compressed negotiations and would have made it extremely tough to negotiate a comprehensive deal. It would hav...

Re: So over at TransAt.......PAY ATTENTION!
We are treading down the same path of another much larger (now almost defunct airline) I worked for many years ago. There was a toxic culture very much the same as what I am seeing here. It ended up turning a great place to work with the best WACON in the world into a pile of steaming dung. Most of...

Re: So over at TransAt.......PAY ATTENTION!
Sounds like this whole lanyard issue is a little myopic. Was the red pen effort used years ago a successful tactic? I wear my red lanyard but I’m certainly not going to insult or berate anyone else that doesn’t. It’s just a symbol of support after all. Take a look at the pilots with the best contra...

Everyone has had enough time now... If our MEC Chair can stick her neck out, talk on National TV, write messages defying company memos, the LEAST you can do is wear your damn lanyard No excuses. RippleRock while I generally always agree to your sentiments, I think we need some context here as Bingo is saying The 10 yrs deal was a strategic blunder and the single largest factor in the demise of this profession. Solidifying concessions from FOS, with piddly 2% raises, locking in a horrific 4 ...

One pilot is garnering more attention than the fact we have 5,000 of the lowest paid global airline pilots in the world in this country Why do pilots spend so much time on something they have no control over like wars in the middle east? Maybe get off avcanada for a bit? There’s been zero talk abou...

Not trying to be a pessimist but why did WestJet close their ports? Flair is not reinventing the wheel, they are repeating what other companies have tried in the past, I thought the multi base thing was a great idea and wondered how they were doing it. As far a I know a base has to have a managemen...
