Re: Beaver Tips
Did anyone say beware of downwind turns, under say 80-85MPH??? Especially at low altitude? And if you were going to do it, to keep some flap out. I seem to recall that being beat into me pretty hard...'been a few years tho.

I did a seaon with them in Hardy in 2004. One of the best jobs I've had. The A/C were nice, maintenance was never an issue, and the only pressure to fly was pressure you put on yourself. Great people too. It's the shits that there are Bozos around that shouldn't even have an AOC, and a nice outfit l...

Ahh…Yes, Mr. Cute an’ Fuzzy Punching Kitty, there is little doubt in my mind that you are a PhD in B.S. Tony I couldn’t agree more. Different airplanes and environments require different skills. I don't dispute that. How could I? Nor do I dispute the challenges of anybody’s job. ‘Never have…If you l...

TONY!!! Halef**kinglujah!!! When you said this... In fact, if you have what it takes, most airplanes don't require much effort. Some airports do qualify as challenging but after a few go's at it, no problem, right? ...I coulda grabbed you by the ears and kissed you. This was 117 000%, EXACTLY the po...

Awww, come back. I won't throw sand in your face anymore. I promise. Though I don't feel I was being belittled personally, you can try all you want. Really. With the company I keep, I'm quite used to it. You can tell me all the issues I have as well...Cool Hand Luke's already gotten the ball rolling...

Gee thanks Corey, if I thought I knew who you were I'd buy ya a beer. I'm glad I'm foolin' somebody... Sigh...Well tony ya know, my post had nothing to do with the thread itself but was, for the third time now, merely an opinion or an observation regarding YOUR post. That's about it "bro"...After 20...

Re: Hey there public...welcome to our dirty little secret
The point of my post was that yours was just as much of a lame "my dick is bigger than yours" statement as the one you were bashing on. Spoken like a true Seneca Grad. Like I said I dont' really care, but I'm happy you're so very proud of yourself. I'm humbled by your "realdom", and by the fact that...

Re: Hey there public...welcome to our dirty little secret
Tell ya what, go try the "expressway visual" in LGA in a real airplane. Now that's FUN. I'm sorry, I don't really care either way but I have to bite...What do you consider a "real" airplane? One that has fans on it? One that goes really fast? Maybe one that the wheels aren't falling off of??? (okay...

Re: Cheyenne 400 LS vs. MU-2
Considering that these two (along with maybe the Conquest 2) are some of the worlds fastest turbo-props in their class on paper I'm looking for a comparison along with some first hand information. If you want a fast turboprop, you should consider the King air B200. It is faster than the MU 2 or the...

I seem to recall hearing the 400 could go to FL410...Any truth? If so, I bet fuel burn vs TAS would be pretty good with the Garretts.

Re: Unsung hero's, the real flight instructors.
My experience with instructors has been this...They've spent the last 500-100hrs being required to "know" the answers to all the "important" questions, as Cat says, that we all asked back in the day. That's their job. Then some go and get their first "IFR" job and come across as inexpereinced know i...

Re: CanJet Making Its Mark
Seriously, we're all fighting the same battle at the end of the day. I don't think so.... As long as there will be someone to fill the seat of a new carrier paying much less than the ones they're after it will be a lost battle... and we will keep making less and less... That's about all there is to...

Jeez Guys, don't you know that the only airlines in Canada worth working for are the "Teal Cult" or our bankrupt "Flag Carrier"??? Anything less makes you a scab, bringing down the working conditions and salary in this industry. You guys SHOULD be ashamed!! All you A**holes care about is feeding you...

Re: Continental Flt 3407 Crash at Buffalo/Niagra Intr'nal
There's 3000 PSI to the elevator and a "feel" unit that gives artificial feel to the controls because of it. I'm pretty sure it could be iced up in the shape of a brick and it'd feel the same as if it were clean. I doubt that disengaging the A/P would make a difference. I could be wrong though...

If anything unions require you to use less "skill in the sky", as you are considered competent for an upgrade or advancement based on the order in which you were hired and not any particular merit or skill...If you can stooge your way through a ride when your number is called, you're good to go...
