You will love this then. I'm not sure what kind of increased security this was called, but here it is.. I was working as a fire alarm tech, doing the inspection at an airport. My guide was one of the main maintenance men, and had his appropriate ID tag on. I had a visitor ID tag. Coming around a cor...

On the one hand everyone says that heavy equipment mechanics, welders and industrial elect's make great money, but they are classed the same as us - unrestricted. I think the occupations you quoted have a lot of demand, but have a slow increase in the available labour force. They get paid well sinc...

I did some searching starting with Norskman's links, which all seems to indicate that a licenced AME is a skilled trade. Branching out from that I looked at the apprentice end and found http://tradeability.ca/DesktopDefault.aspx?TabId=3382 Which starts off as : "Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Appren...

IIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii95 looked good. :) So did these same rules that Norskman directed to me and again thank y ou applied back in 1989 through 1991? http://www.tc.gc.ca/civilaviation/regserv/affairs/cars/about.htm That might answer your question. There is also an 800# for the CARs hotline that y...

Thanks for pointing this information out to me! I have failed to read the missing information, even on the sask apprenticeship web site. Electricians need to be working as an apprentice, just to be working in the field, and at 1:1. It looks like an Automotive service tech doesn't have to be a journe...

Re: Looking for some info on OCs.
...I would like to know where I can go and ask for the answer to this dilemma... My question is who pays for the expenses for the airplane such as insurance, maintenance, pilots, etc and who gets the revenue from the radio station myself that got the contract but does not operate the airplane or my...

I posted on the poll as well, since I'm not sure which place would be more appropriate. I've heard allegations on this site that AME is not considered a skilled trade. What is the basis of this claim? http://www.apprenticetrades.ca/EN/displayContent/default.asp?userAction=LOADARTICLE&txtArticleID=10...

Before I vote, I would like to see proof that an AME is not a skilled trade. All I can find are things saying that it is. http://www.apprenticetrades.ca/EN/displayContent/default.asp?userAction=LOADARTICLE&txtArticleID=1074 http://www.saskapprenticeship.ca/modules.php?name=Files&f_action=securefiles...

Maybe I'm missing something here... but shouldn't we first be concerned about *flying* something outside of CofG limits before we think about spinning it? Well, in the C172, you can do spins in the utility category, but not normal cat. So flying outside of utility CofG would be normal, just not spi...

I inquired to Cessna as to why that backseat limitiation is there. This is the reply: 172's are wonderful airplanes and have spectacular spin characteristics but they are airplanes. Spins are only allowed in the Utility category and in the case of the S' models it is difficult to keep the weight and...

For legalities and CARs definition of spins, I go by this: http://www.tc.gc.ca/civilaviation/general/Flttrain/TP13747/spins.htm Types Of Spins 1. An incipient spin is that portion of a spin from the time the aeroplane stalls and rotation starts , until the spin becomes fully developed. An incipient ...

From your last post you said you're still in PPL land. I won't try to teach you on here, but what you saw in that "spin" video is the incipient stage of a spin , that was nowhere near a spin . Some flight schools also say that once you're done you can fly for air canada, you believe them as well? F...
