Re: CYNJ CADORS

Sorry to keep coming back to this. And good morning. Live ATC now has now been established at Langley. Ground and Tower. And that’s a good thing. It doesn’t appear to be working...at least not for me as yet. There was an archive item I was asked to review. It’s my understanding that when Transport a...

Re: CYNJ CADORS

Landing 01 Told to exit E Then to f Down 25 H Then G That’s 5...well 4 taxiways and a runway. It would have been so much easier if we had told to exit G, straight line to destination. Or exit 25. On call up we gave destination on the field. One wonders if there was a deliberateness to that call by t...

Re: CYNJ CADORS

The CADOR system was put in place to identify errors in aviation for the TSB to help remedy and improve aviation. I have also heard a Transport Minister was caught up short at a press scrum not knowing details about the what/where/when and why of an accident and did not want to appear a fool again, ...

CYNJ CADORS

Good morning everyone. I like to follow the CADORS in my region. Of note are the Langley CADORS. The number is extraordinary. For awhile there were a lot of planes not following the Trinity and Thunderbird departures. Restricted to 1000 feet on departure also means you can neither see Trinity or Thu...

Re: 172 down Hope BC ???

It’s a rather bold comment to tell a pilot to ask a flight instructor for advice about flying in the mountains on the Vancouver coast. Their experience is usually quite limited in mountain flying. Although it was not in the Hope Princeton, there have been a few crashes by flight instructors in the m...

Re: 172 down Hope BC ???

I’m very glad the machinery was the only thing broken. An aviation influencer I know, talked the talk of aviation safety in one breath and in real life he did crap like land after dark, unknown winter airport, low on fuel, well below VFR while delivering a plane. Instead of landing safely earlier. O...

This is also an allegation. And it states so at the bottom of the page. https://wwwapps.tc.gc.ca/Saf-Sec-Sur/2/CADORS-SCREAQ/rd.aspx?cno%3d%26dtef%3d2020-08-30%26dtet%3d2020-09-23%26otp%3d-1%26ftop%3d%253e%253d%26ftno%3d0%26ijop%3d%253e%253d%26ijno%3d0%26olc%3d%26prv%3d-1%26rgn%3d6%26tsbno%3d%26tsbi...

Re: 172 down Hope BC ???

It’s an AUTO at Hope, weather is often just fine in the area.
Besides who says it was 1000 feet? The post On this thread, that says it cannot guarantee the accuracy of information?

Re: 172 down Hope BC ???

Who are you couch pilots?
You weren’t there. I’ve been thru there lots of times when pk is 800 feet and the Hope Princeton is well above 5500 ASL.
Maybe you are just girl bashing.
Most of the time you would say wait for TSB report to be written.

Taxiway C is labeled on different taxiways in the CFS and CAP. According to my Foreflight.

I read with interest the Cadors in Pacific Region every week.

Re: ATIS Has there been a change in YVR area?

Having to request Special VFR, has been the case for years. The ATIS used to state the Airport was at or below Special VFR in the recording, which Vancouver area ATIS’s are not doing this morning.

ATIS Has there been a change in YVR area?

Control Zone VFR 1000 and 3.
I’ve noticed lately that ATIS information when below VFR minimums, doesn’t include the phrase, the Control Zone is operating at or below Special VFR. When below VFR it makes no mention of it.
