Re: So much for growth
... What do you mean planes come and go? What? Receiving and then getting rid of 6 aircraft in a period of 6 months does not make any sense, especially considering some of those aircraft were already painted in Flair's colours, and considering there are these claimed expansion plans. It means exact...

Re: So much for growth
You guys have to stop feeding the WestJet trolls. Thinmargins joined a week ago, and all of his posts are in this one thread just hoping to stir up whatever agenda he feels like stroking his ego with. Planes come and go, our fleet is expanding, our loads are good, our sales are solid, in fact, sinc...

Re: So much for growth
Planespotters.net indicates you have 29 aircraft registered in your fleet, which also matches what is listed on the TC registry... According to planespotters, 6 are currently parked.. all of these planes have been delivered in the last 6 months. Can you explain why they are all sitting? Only logica...

So is this Globe and Mail story false? Like when they wrote an article saying that Sunwing was for sale, which was strongly denied by Sunwing, but later proved to be true? 777 Partners has orders for up to 134 B737's with more coming, including the 737-8-200. They sell most of them to a variety of ...

Re: End of Covid-Coming Soon
It’s cute how you keep making new accounts so it looks like everyone agrees with you. It's also cute how you, CpnCrunch, TG, and a few others only like to reply to controversial topics about covid and others and you're stance is always to discredit everyone who doesn't agree with your line of think...

Re: Why aren't Canadian pilots going on strike?
An employee group can only strike when the contract expires. You cannot strike if there is still a valid contract. That's straight from the Canada Labour Code. You also cannot take concerted labour action like work to rule. As for comparing Canada and the US. Unfortunately US carriers earn far more...

Re: Why aren't Canadian pilots going on strike?
Why aren’t Canadian pilots going on strike? Because it doesn’t work that way. What can be done is working to rule, not taking OT, not busting your ass out of the kindness of your aviator heart, and stuff like that. That sort of thing would take coordination and could be pretty harshly screwed by ju...

Re: Why aren't Canadian pilots going on strike?
Seriously, everyday I read aviation news, there is always some pilot group voting for strike action. There were the US airlines in the past few months voting in favour of strike action, along with a flurry of raises across the board. Now, Lufthansa is now talking about strike action https://simplef...

Re: Why aren't Canadian pilots going on strike?
I find the original question confusing. If you are making $40000 per year, chances are you started flying quite recently. You must have been aware of the pay scheme when you took the job. While you ask "why aren't we striking"?, I ask "why did you accept the job?" I mean, if my job paid less than M...

Yea, by all means, if someone is over 75, go get a booster...otherwise, leave everyone else alone, close all covid threads, and let's move on, it's over... Where does the over 75 come from? https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2667193X22000151?via%3Dihub I only posted that yesterday, ...

Yikes... did you people even read what I said? Yes, you said "and here's 2 other articles, one which has the WHO saying boosters aren't needed..." but the article didn't say that, it was talking about young healthy adults. And if you look at the rest of the data it's pretty clear that boosters do s...

I've seen data that says otherwise, and I choose to believe that data. I will not waste your time by showing it to you, because even if you read it, you will not believe it. You keep on believing whatever you want. Inevitably, mandates will end, and you can go around proclaiming you've won against ...

Liberals like doug ford you mean? Will you still be wearing a mask once mask mandates get dropped everywhere? Why are you asking me that? I'm not in support of mandatory masks. I was just pointing out a dumb political comment. If you're looking at mask support vs political affiliation, what does it...
