Re: Flight Lessons North Bay Ontario

Never flown there, but I know both of the current instructors. Darren is in North Bay, and will help you out. Give him a call and ask any questions you have. 705-476-7229. It's quite a busy school, so if he's out flying, leave him a message. He'll call you back!!

Welland Aero Centre

My 2 cents...

Look into the charter aspect when you're applying for the job. My understanding is that they can't do anything 703, only 702. But they do anyway. Not what you want on your resume.

And you can do better than $16.50 an hour.

Re: Red Deer College

Did this course back in the day. I'm sure there are things that are different, but even now, it's not your typical course. My suggestion to you would be to complete your licences without the diploma. It doesn't really do you any good. If you want post secondary, do your own courses. You don't get th...

Instructor Refresher Notes

Sorry if this pops up twice, my computer is acting up.

I'm wondering if anyone has kept copies of handouts and information from instructor refresher courses. I've lost all of mine in a move, and would like to get them back.

Any help would be great! :prayer:

Re: Question about new PPL

I don't yet have the aviation book, so can't help you there.... However, as soon as the AP signs off the back of your SPP, you are licenced. It is your official licence that minute. It only lasts for 90 days, however....so you need to watch that. Usually, TC gets your licence out to you by then. I t...

Wow, Tradeport really sucks!

Dunnville? Is that because the other school moved out? There really isn't much in Dunnville, is there?

Tango,

You'll do great by studying those books.

I just know that when I go to write an exam, I need practise questions. I like books. So when I found this one, I thought I'd share.

Where's the topic?

Was the topic of a new instructor exam manual so offensive it had to be removed?

Welland Aero has applied for the commercial and class 4 training. They could help you out once they're approved.

VFR training

Hi,

I know that the IFR training was moved to the ACC of the region.

Where does VFR training happen? Still in Cornwall? How long does it usually last?

Thanks!

Instructor Refresher

So, I'm thinking flight test for many reasons. I'm in Ontario, where the college act thing exists.

Does that mean I can only do my flight test through a school that's approved? It's not like I need training to renew. Only a check out, maybe some rental time and a flight test.

Anyone? Transport?

Re: Spectrum Airways Training.

Used to work there. The instructors that were there when I was are all very good. The CFI is a new CFI, but has been instructing for a while. I think, overall, it's a good school. Sometimes you need to watch the instructors running late, but that's normal at any school. Go out and ask for a tour. If...
