Collegeboy,
Use a company like Skyplan, Colt/WFS, Jeppesen, etc to help with the routing, flight planning, permits, handling and fuel. Will pay off in the long run, especially with the permit requirements for a flight operating under a Ferry Permit.

Another update from the CBAA: Dear Member A number of you have requested CBAA’s support to communicate your company’s displeasure and concern over the GTAA’s 48-hour slot restrictions and landi...

Re: US overflight
The US TSA office often has limited staff working on a holiday weekend. Consider yourself lucky when you get the short notice ones approved. The official processing time the TSA office states on their website is five business days for processing your request. My suggestion if you have some common lo...

While we're on the subject of licenses and their worth...what about the value of the license for the Flight Dispatcher back in Headquarters who has co-authority with the Captain in the pointy end? These talented men and women are getting paid a FRACTION of what the flight crew are.

Latest Update:
The CBAA is currently advising their members that the TSA Airspace Waiver NOTAM could be updated as early as later today. The proposed amendment would change the transiting portion of the NOTAM back to similar wording from the previous NOTAM.

Re: TSA Required for all US airspace overflights
Wallypilot is correct, any foreign registered aircraft under 100,309 lbs which TRANSITS the USA territorial airspace requires a TSA Airspace Waiver. The TSA office does have a help desk which can be contacted during regular business hours. Foreign registered aircraft under 100,309 lbs which operate ...

Not sure who is disclosing company memos when it is being posted all over at least one public Facebook page...I certainly don't have access to any Company memos...I'm sure the Omni Air wet lease will take care of your guests.

Re: Getting into the Dispatch world
Hi BeechjetYKZ, Completing a dispatch course and completing the Transport Canada generic exams does not get you licensed. You must undergo airline specific classroom, on the job training and complete a Transport Canada mandated check-ride to become licensed as a certified dispatcher. Some companies ...

Re: Updated logo and 767 preview
Apparently a wet lease of an Omni Air B767 or two is in WestJet's future for a few weeks as the B767 won't be ETOPS certified in time to start the Alberta-Hawaii runs this winter.
