Do you know which aircraft/positions were offered in the last class or might be offered in the next class?

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Would anyone have any info on what the psychologist virtual interview might consist of? I had done the mmpi assessment in person on the day of the interview but now have been asked to do a virtual interview with the psychologist as well.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

After getting the request for a background check, how many days or weeks has it been generally taking before getting an offer?

Re: How long until you hear back from AC?

I was going through the forums to find updated info on AC staff travel benefits for Pilots. Couldn't find much recent info. Can someone at AC please share what the staff travel benefits are like for Pilots. Does staff travel or jumpseat benefits start on Day 1 or do you have to wait 3 or 6 months fr...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Had the interview about a month ago but just got an email a couple of days ago saying to come in for a secondary assessment because the results of the first MMPI assessment were inconclusive. Anyone experience this before? Does it mean I could still potentially be in consideration?

Years of service remain. You upgrade after three years you slot into year 3 captain pay.
Thank you!

Re: New hire thoughts

So 7-10 years in as a WB FO, making $160+ the options are either reserve, or work every weekend and if you prefer the long haul, get your days worked down to 14. I’m just trying to present the facts in an unbiased way, so that fellow aviators can make an honest assessment of their career projection...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Assuming the question is from someone considering employment at AC and not someone currently on the DB plan, the whole MPU point is irrelevant. They would be on the CWIPP (MEPP) plan which functions completely differently. Thanks for the clarification Crewbunk. Yes, I am considering future employme...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

As for pension I was reading in the CBA that for example if one is to retire in 2024 the MPU is $4996. If one did 30 years of service would their annual pension be $4996 x 30 = $149,880. Not sure if my understanding of it is correct but just trying to come up to a ball park figure of what my pensio...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Would it make sense for a Porter E2 captain to leave for AC now considering the new E2 captain pay scales at Porter? It would be almost a $100k pay cut the first year but is it true that the upgrade times on the narrow body at AC are now roughly 2 years? Also looking at the long term benefits since ...
