All charts and textual sources (METAR, TAF, winds aloft, surface analysis charts, etc) use true north as the refere...

Re: Interim Certficate of Registration (Transfer Ownership of Aircraft)
I ran into that with my plane. And for crying out loud I was just taking my deceased dad off the co ownership spot. I seem to recall we sent it to winnipeg as they were not as backed up as toronto at that time. but I have heard horror stories since. Imagine buying a car or a boat, or an atv, or a mo...

Re: R-44 Fatal Accident - Alberta
looking to poke your way thru some marginal, or patchy, weather is one thing in the daytime, you can see and avoid the patches. At night, its no place to be, you will only find it when your nav lights start glowing telling you that you are in it. A helicopter with no instruments would be quite a rid...

Re: Corn Field or Bean Field
if the corn is off, most of ontario it has 6-8 inch stalks. it is pretty late in the year. By the time the corn is off most bean fields are planted into winter wheat, it will be 4-6 inches like grass, but the field is likely pretty soft, by the time the corn is off... mid summer head for hay or whea...
