Type Rating Expiry After 24 Months Part 604
Hi All, After searching CAR 604, failed to find a clear reference to the following..... For Private 604 Ops on Turbine Transport Category, does a person need to redo an initial type rating course if they've exceeded 24 months on a competency check ride? The CAR's make it clear that this is the case ...

Re: International Rotations
He motioned the most desirable type to have if you fly in the USA as a contractor is the Challenger 300-350 and Global Express. I assume you cant fly in the USA as a contractor? Your type would be in demand south of the boarder but not so much overseas. Actually, FAA current on the 300/350 until Ja...

Re: Domestic or International Rotations
I'd consider Borek.
There was a time that they'd only rotate you In & Out of Alberta though. If you were out of province, you had to pay that last leg "out of pocket".
Anyone know if that's changed?

Re: International Rotations
Thanks for your replies so far folks... I'm a little too old to do the 'roomate' thing now with Voyageur. Rotation is fine, I think it would be a problem with the living arrangements. As for Park. Yeah, I've heard of them... Everything I've seen from them though has typically been "EASA license" req...

Domestic or International Rotations
Hi People, Does anyone have any leads on Canadian or foreign companies offering Canadians to fly anything, anywhere but on a rotation basis? 4 On- 4 Off. 6 On - 3 Off. Something of that nature. I'm not talking contracting. I'm talking 'Employee' status... Commute back and forth is covered. Recurrent...

Re: Daily Rate For A Small Turbo-Prop
Just the standard 703 stuff. Self dispatch, flight planning, run to the airport.... Probably 8 to 10 hour days. $300 for standby / reserve cause I already have full time salaried employment. Just lots of free time between flying days. So basically, when on standby for a call out can still get on wit...

Daily Rate For A Small Turbo-Prop
Just trying to get an idea of the average daily rate for a small turbo-prop in Canada. Specifically, flying a Cheyenne / Conquest on a standby / on call basis.
I was thinking $300 / day for standby/reserve and $500 / day for flying.
Are these numbers reasonable? Never done freelance before.
Thanks.

Can somebody clarify what Transport considers 'Stabilized'? Mine is in a Challenger and it's the gyro type , vertically , mounted compass rose type. No liquid involved.... Is this a 'Stabilized' one?

Re: 604 Contract Pilots
Just a correction here.... Acass does not pay for pilot PPC's. The contractor him(her)self pays. Acass acts as a "broker" to get a preferential rate on a course but the cash comes from the pilot. Always has, always will.

Recherche Avocat Spécialisé Dans Le Droit De Travail. Préférablement avec expérience dans le secteur de l'aviation. Il faut que je me prépare a me défendre contre une ancien employeur agressif et c'est la première fois dans ma carrière que je fait face a de tels ennuis. Si vous avez des recommandati...
