I've been struggling to hear back from any company after 3 months of applications across Canada (and I'm not picky) and am glad to see I may not be the only one. I've also got low hours with only 220 with Multi-IFR and float rating and am wondering if its maybe because I'm below the 250hrs? 30 hour...

I think the school's main issue is not actually Dave the owner, but the main flight examiner, completely unfair, I'd watch out for that

Does anybody know roughly the unemployment rate in Canada for pilots with around 1000-1200 hours? Cpl mifr no type rating.

But are these companies really going to hire at 500hrs? Keep hearing there are loads of 750-1000hrs pilots just waiting to jump to the next job I highly doubt, there's people applying with more than 1000 hours, and the people I know they were all over 1000 hours, it might change in the future? yes ...

Experienced pilots probably yes. 250-1000 hour pilots not that much.
