Re: Interview process
I recently learned that I was not successful in my interview with Porter Airlines. To be honest, I’m not sure why—I felt that I answered every question professionally and presented myself well. Could anyone offer some advice or guidance on how to better prepare for future interviews?

Re: E2 Captain
I just don't understand; I believe Porter has lots of qualified first officers who have already qualified for upgrading to captain. They don't need to hire the DEC captain.

Re: Emirates or Air Canada
If you are the new first officer of Air Canada, the Emirates is a good choice for you in the next 5 or 10 years. However, if you are a senior captain, consider it carefully.

I guess it takes a little bit of time, maybe two or three months later. after Air Canada or other legacy airlines get some pilots from Flair, then they will hire pilots again.

I had the interview in January and I am still waiting for the results. I’m curious, if Air Canada decides not to move forward with my application, will they inform me formally ?

Re: Pilot Hiring 2025
The screening process is rigorous, with only 32 out of 150 candidates being selected, and I believe all 150 pilots meet Flair’s requirements. If Canadian airlines do not introduce more airplanes in the future, it will become increasingly difficult to become an airline pilot.

Re: WestJet Encore applies for LMIA to hire foreign pilot
I don’t understand their logic. In Canada, we have more pilots than required. I guess even if WestJet Encore wants to hire 100 or 200 pilots, they can still find more qualified candidates than their target. It’s the current market.
