Wind rotates counterclockwise around a low in the northern hemisphere. You'll be flying into a headwind if flying east to wes...

Re: Having a hard time with MET practical questions.. (SAMRA)
Thank you so much for your detailed explanation. I perfectly understood! You can easily solve these by process of elimination. The easier one to start is the ISA/temperature. Chart is at FL240 ISA is 15C at MSL -2C per 1000’ would give you ISA at 24,000” at -33C (15 minus 48) Area C is between -40 a...

We also know that a LOW has ascending air, AKA Ascendance, and the temperature decreases. Therefore, in this example, we will have a LOW to the NW, and a HIGH to the S...

Question on the height of the tropopause
Hello, There is a statement saying "The height of the tropopause will tend to be higher in a warmer air mass and when the MSL pressure is high." I understand warmer air mass makes the height of the tropopause higher, but I could not understand the second part, "when the MSL pressure is high." I thou...

Aerocourse ATPL ground school/seminar worth it?
Hello, I am planning to start studying SAMRA/SARON and I found there is Aerocourse ATPL ground school/seminar (virtual or in-person classroom format). Is it worth to take that seminar? Or will studying by myself with Aerocourse's Airline Transport Pilot Licence Workbook be fine? Thank you in advance.
