Have you thought that maybe the Class one who does your flight can also do your ground training. That's how most Class one's work. Yeap, that was my first choice, but that class one didn't want to give me ground schools at night or during the weekends. I don't blame him, he spends the whole day in ...

Hi there Thanks for the answers. Yes, I think doing it with a freelance instructor is the only chance. To give more details about my case, I do not work in aviation and my current job allows me to afford the instructor rating. I absolutely love teaching and since I enjoy aviation a lot, I think inst...

i actually am a piano player in a whorehouse.... Wanna trade jobs? :) I don't find Cat or Doc disgruntled. To me, they say what they are thinking. That's what forums are for. You are entitled to say whatever the heck you want. The only difference is that some people do reveal their real identity (l...

Re: Why keep the brain dead/damaged alive?
This is not a troll, it is a question based on the link below that I'd like to see debated. If a person cannot eat on their own, cannot talk, cannot maintain eye contact, cannot bathe themselves, cannot move, etc, etc, etc, then what is the point of keeping them alive? What does the person or socie...

Re: mellow thanks man
I would pay too see this skit done in Ethopia or another 3rd world country, where schools and books are rare. I am willing to bet that they would be a heck of alot smarter than the trash in that video. How much would you pay :) ? Costa Rica is a third world country. In grade 6 kids learn about cont...

TI-ANB I do work alone when I’m up taking pictures. I do everything flying, mapping, dealing with ATC, and composing the shots with the camera in my hand. I set the camera fast enough so it can take a good clear picture every time. As it was stated earlier in the thread 1/800/s is fast enough most ...

Interesting thread :) I_reason, Do you fly the plane and take the pictures at the same time? You talk about Efficiency...but I'm hoping you are not both flying the plane and setting the exposure/ISO/composition at the same time :) Also, I'm curious if you have tried using an IS lense. I know they co...

Remember that the grass is always greener on the other side ... Ok, I don't want to hijack the thread, so I'm just gonna say I agree with you in the 'grass is always greener' comment. Same way as I see it better to work in aviation (BTW, I don't hate my current job) you might see it better to work ...

Hedley, It's interesting how all depends on which side of the fence you are. I have a non-aviation job that is paying the bills. I have a commercial license but I only fly for fun once in a while. I read this forum every once in a while and my conclusion is always the same.... I would trade my job, ...
