Diver Drivin'
Have to agree with what's already been said. I've flown Skydivers for two seasons now and it's some of the most fun flying I've ever done. Shifting C of G's, up to five Skydivers hanging off the strut, min speeds, keeping the tail up so as not to be struck, all the while, putting the Skydiver exactl...

???
So are you saying that the Technical Logs can be legally carried on board the aircraft along with the Journey logs?
I was sure they could not, but I can't seem to find my reference...

FAA Licences?
Have the new American Licences now dropped the use of the individuals Social Security Number? (I think that is what they were using...) In any event, I had a buddy in the states complaining the other day about not being able to give out his Licence number as it was also his SS Number. Just wondering...

I have the 196 and love it but if I had the cash, I too would have a 296.

As an employer (not aviation) I can tell you what I like to see... Cover page listing what position you are applying for - You would be amazed at how many resumes I receive that don't indicate what position they are applying for. (I don't guess, I file them in the circular cabinet) Two pages is my m...

Capt. S&J I've always felt "boastful asshole" fit you quite nicely... That's a joke! In all seriousness, wouldn't the standard be to contact your maintenance crew after exhausting all pilot fixes and maybe even a quick call to Piper? They had some time... I'm sure it's happened, but I would think an...

Gear up Landing at YQM
Just saw my first Gear Up Landing!
Local Charter Company could not get the gear down so they came in Gear Up and made a beautiful belly landing.
Congrats to the Pilots for doing a fantastic job. All crew and Passengers walked away without a scratch.

Thanks for the information guys and thanks to hz2p. 400 Degrees on the CHT is exactly the information I was looking for. I originally posted this in the Maintenance Section but got no replies. Perhaps this is the correct forum? Flying a 1963 C182 with the o-470 Engine and 260 HP. The plane has an EGT/CHT sensor but no user manuals for anything. Plane is used for Skydiving. I climb at 23" MP and 2450 RPM and watch the ...

Acceptable EGT's for o-470 C182
Flying a 1963 C182 with the o-470 Engine and 260 HP. The plane has an EGT/CHT sensor but no user manuals for anything. Plane is used for Skydiving. I climb at 23" MP and 2450 RPM and watch the EGT on the way up for leaning purposes. Once the jumpers are away I close the Cowl Flaps and switch to CHT ...
