Re: Are we in a Business Model Transition?
All signs point to the burning ships of Rome. Get the hell out while the hiring at other airlines is going on. When leadership fails to communicate effectively, the writing could not be more clearer on the wall.

Re: “I compete in Canada, so I need to be competitive in Canada,” - Mike Rosseau
Adjusting for inflation is NOT a raise . That's where our starting point or where our "baseline" should be. We are now in deficit. Serious deficit. A raise would be anything on top of the required inflation adjustment . A 45-55% increase is no gain, as our buying power would simply be reset to an e...

This article is a clear cut indication of where the company stands. MR's words do not give me much hope to be honest as to where we'll be by spring/summer next year.

Re: The "Yes" side will be full of regret
Change of this magnitude is a slow and painful process. Whether or not you agree with this ratification doesn’t overshadow the simple fact it was at least a step forward and not back. Could it have been better? Absolutely yes. The more important question to ask is why the division and how to move fo...

How disappointing. Good Job Jazz, can hear the cheering in the AC boardroom from here. The Jazz/Express issues don't end with this MOS. Not even close. Any belly bumping or high fiving in either YUL or YHZ would be a short lived celebration. There is also a freight train of 5000+ AC pilots coming d...

The suitcase isn't very big so I've just been wearing the same pants and shirt on the way home. I change my undergarments of course. I hope I'm not smelly. Ask your mom to pack you a second uniform in your suitcase before she drops you off at work. In all seriousness and to answer your question, I'...

I was rejected from a 705 in the past.
It stung at the time but that's life, got back up and kept moving forward with work experience. It worked out very well and I was glad I got that rejection. Plenty of other companies out there.

CBC - A shortage of pilots is making travel chaos in Canada even worse

To play devil's advocate a bit: Funny how some here are very upset about foreign pilots coming here, but many of us would go to the USA in a heartbeat if offered the opportunity to fly for United, Delta, American or Alaska :) Don't forget about Canadian pilots flying (or that have flown) for Cathay...
