Hundreds of pilots got screwed by AC not fulfilling their agreement with Jazz regarding flow in the past. There’s already a thread on this. I suggest reading it to see how going to Jazz might limit or postpone your timeline at AC.

The two of you grumps are not helpful. Sometimes the best course of action is to leave your inside thoughts inside your head. Or the best course of action for people is to actually do research and not be lazy. It’s shocking to me how many repeated questions we have every month. You wanna be helpful...

Re: Should Have Used Pitch and Power and Ignore the Warnings
Once you have unreliable airspeed, time to ignore the overspeed and stall warnings and fly known pitch and power settings. Airframe buffet remains accurate. Cruise thrust and pitch should be memorized and an early level off with an emergency declaration may be appropriate as you will have a greater...

Re: Air Canada Captain didn't have required license
All I can think of is that this pilot must have doctored his license. You would think that numerous training captains and ultimately ACP would have noticed if he still had CA****** numbered license. Also, don’t you need an ATPL for air Canada? This stems back from the very beginning. Human Resources...

What airline are you at?Ghost Rider wrote: ↑Mon Nov 24, 2025 10:23 am What would happen if I told the final approach controller that I was unable to maintain 170 to the FAF
The reason I ask is that my airline has new procedures, and if I hold that speed, I will be unstable and have to perform a go-around.

I want to tell you a story. It starts with a vote and ends with an order to shred the ballots before anyone reads them. Everything in between should make you uncomfortable — not because it’s complicated, but because it isn’t. I work on the maintenance side at Air Canada. I am one of roughly 2,250 T...
