Re: What ever happened to Bob Diemert

If you're looking for 'The Defender', check out your local library - if they don't have it, you can probably have it sent to your library all for free. After I got my PPL, I was curious about the stories of old airplanes hiding in barns out on the prairies. I had read about his Zero rebuild and foun...

I've done that before in the Diamond...something sounds different while you're talking to the other guy, and you quickly notice the 'Tx' on the radio, and that everybody else just listened to you troubleshoot the issue. Oh well. I used the same tri-fold kneeboard, but I found that If I kept it open,...

I only have a PPL and so I've never worked commercially as a pilot. I think that video should be terrifying. If the wing had dug in, if the aircraft stalled and crashed, maybe it only kills the crew, maybe it takes out a city block. The other hundreds, or maybe thousands of employees would lose thei...

I would suspect that the effect on a corporate operator would be minimal...transmitting APIS submissions through eAPIS is a pain in the ass, but it's not too rough...especially if you're flying a lot of the same pax all the time. Just one more step. The GA sector will likely create a stir about it, ...

I've always thought this site would do well with an 'ebay' type application, or at the very least, a 'garage sale' forum. I imagine that there are lots of people with books, headsets, etc that are sitting around looking to be offloaded, and an equal amount of people getting into the game that don't ...

I had a business prof in university that gave me a new impression on management. I ended up sitting next to the owner on an AC flight from YWG-YYZ back in April. I saw him reading a flying mag in the departure area and ended up in the seat next to me. I asked him about the magazine, he said he saw an article about a 182 on the cover, and he was interested because he owned one. B...
