Bad luck for Pat Sr on the timing with the closing of YZF and then diamonds found the next summer.

GS "At least pretend you know what you are doing" during a training flight. Needless to say, I didn't get cut loose on the "buck'85" that day.

Re: Bearskin cuts routes.

Ask a Bearskin pilot how many pax on are on these flights post Covid. They were thin routes before COVID. YQK, YHD, YAG are hardly northern routes. YQT-YXL is very busy, because of the far north. YQT-YHD was pretty empty 5 year ago when I flew there. Bearskin press release says they average 2 pax pe...

Not growth. Upgrading from 300’s. Looking at the family tree I’d bet $50 on where they end up.

Re: Pilots that crash don’t get raises

Seriously you should be more concerned with chronic fatigue brought on by unrealistic planning and scheduling and a crappy contract. You should be concerned with pilots skipping meals on layover while dealing with financial stresses being brought on by substandard pay and high costs of living in th...

Re: Thunder Bay airport accident

It's pretty clear from the report that NavCanada circled the wagons when they stated there's nothing in the MANOPS or SMS to covers this specific items. ie stunting repeatedly. Read the CADORS for a bit and see how many chicken shit CADORS FSS's submit for mundane crap like maneuvering on an uncontr...

This King Air along with C-GPDC and C-GSYC are owned by Pat Campling/Avalerion Corporation and are operated under contract to the RCAF. They're registered to Tindi, but they don't really have anything to do with them. They were previously registered to Transwest until last year under the same arran...

Re: Bearskin Crash — FEB 25, 2020 — Dryden, ON

First day of line training for the F/O. The captain had loads of experience on type but unfortunately didn't seem to be performing particularly well. Anyone can miss a checklist item but it is too bad that he didn't check the torques as the power was brought up. Improper blade angles can send a mul...

American said in a filing earlier this month that it expects its second-quarter capacity to be down 20% to 25% from 2019, while United Airlines said it expects its capacity to be down about 46% and Delta forecast a 32% decline versus 2019. Meanwhile, Southwest Airlines forecast its July capacity to...

I have it on good authority that that paint is a petroleum product and the perpetrators filled up their Peugot on the way to the airport. Climate terrorists and hypocrites. This is a good read on how the oil and gas industry points out North Face products are use oil and gas products by 70% by weig...

Re: Should Canadian airlines stop flights to UK, New covid strain.

This is the UK getting punished for Brexit--just in time for the high holidays. Double whammy. The EU is playing good cop by saying that the restrictions could be eased--as if. Ontario's lockdown is going to cost us (the industry) more lift, and so are the restrictions in America's coastal "paradis...

Re: Commuting, Acclimatization and new Flight Duty Regs

To me the real issue moving forward isn't going to be commuting to YYZ, as much as just the fact that YVR based pilots are literally going to be less useful to crew sched than YYZ ones. YYZ pilots will be able to do back to back 14 hour days, but YVR ones will only be able to do 14 the first day, a...
