I transferred my application recently and was also told that offers would be going out in April, no call for me yet so curious if anyone else has received an offer yet.

Re: Fall 2023 Training Invites
I recently transferred my application form Toronto to Edmonton, I was told that there is a VFR course starting in September and that the offer deadline was April. I am not sure if that means offers will be sent by April 1st or later in April but that is what I was told.

Re: FIR Transfer
If you were marked eligible for offer in YYZ but did not recieve one yet then changing your FIR to YYC might actually get you a better chance of an actual offer. Just shoot off emails to Ottawa and Toronto asking for consideration in your new FIR and you should be good. I have only been eligible si...

Re: FIR Transfer
I recently contacted HR and asked this question and basically my email said just what you have. They responded within a few weeks and the answer was in two parts. First, yes they are generally happy to change your FIR preference if that is what you want, however, depending on the stream you have be...

FIR Transfer
Hello, just curious if any one knows wether or not you are allowed to transfer to a different FIR while in the “Eligible for Offer” stage? I went through the entire process while in the Toronto FIR but with recent life changes, my family and I are looking to make a move to Alberta and I am curious i...

Re: How strict are Transport Canada with issuing medical licenses if a test falls close to the standard limit?
... even recommend going to get your medical done before getting an offer to help with the wait times. This is probably the best advice I have seen on this forum. A CAT2 medical with ECG costs $250 in the New Brunswick area. I would probably get one, if I were in a new wanna be's shoes, as soon as ...

Re: How strict are Transport Canada with issuing medical licenses if a test falls close to the standard limit?
During the bootcamp in Toronto they mentioned how TC is very slow in getting medicals out. They said that Nav understands this and will allow you to attend basic without the medical card. However, controlling live traffic is 100% not going to happen without a physical medical card. They said to bug ...

Re: YYZ Training offers?
It's true, it seems courses are full. Unfortunately, my application will close in January 2023 as I applied right before covid in Jan 2020. Hoping for Fall It's unfortunate but it is what it is This is anecdotal and I don't want to give you false hope but: I originally applied Oct 2019, and only be...

Re: How long did it take for you to recieve your medical? YYZ
Transport Canada sucks for getting medicals out, few guys have waited over 9-12 months to get it. Nav Canada is aware of this and will let you start basic training without the physical medical. However you do need it before you are allowed to control live traffic. So keep bugging Transport Canada fo...

Re: YYZ Training offers?
It looks like recruiting for Spring 2023 at YYZ is done. If they continue with the usual trend, the next course will likely be in Fall 2023. I assume I would be looking at the fall 2023 course? Im guessing that because i and others are now eligible it means that all offers for spring we’re already ...

Re: YYZ Training offers?
I also wrote my Feast in July and went back for bootcamp in late October. We were told that we should hear back in 4-12 weeks with those results. They told us that we will be told we passed/failed/or are on Standby at that point. Currently at almost 6 weeks so really should hear back from then anyti...
