Re: Float plane rental in the yyz area

Try Lake Country Airways out of Lake St-John in Orillia. That would be your best bet..

There is a float plane base around Orillia, on lake St-John (I think). It is close to the casino and there is also an airport.

Re: Can you keep a medical with a pacemaker?

To my knowledge and previous research, as long as the pacemaker is not the only way to keep you alive you can hold a class 1 medical with no restriction. So irregular heart beats without a pacemaker would qualify

Je crois que tu dois penser à long terme.
Si tu dois rester dans le secteur et seulement si. Moi, j'irais chez Cargair. Mais avoir le choix je ferais mon cours dans un autre province.
Bonne chance

Re: How to get Jet Fuel out of white pilot shirts

Mix half peroxide with half Dawn (dish soap). Let it soak overnight. It is the best mix ever for red wine, pen, etc. You need to use it as soon as it mix.
Good luck

Re: Converting my license to Australian.

Hi CollegeBoy, I did convert my license few years back. First, you have to go there.. You can self-study and then challenge the air rules part of the exam. Exams are held once a month maybe more in big city. Than you have to get your medical. Full exams again. Than you need to do a flight test, a fu...

Try First Air, Calmair or Keewatin. These are your best options but I might have few other ideas. PM me if you need more help.

Good luck with your request.

Re: Flying standby with Air Transat

If you work for Air Transat, you will need a blue pass ticket. If you work for an other airline, you just need to walk to the counter and ask for the jumpseat agreement. Keep in mind those flights are pretty full, especially since Air Transat increased the pitch. Depending on the day, you might be a...

Only Coppermine I know, is Kugluktuk, Nunavut. Way the hell up north. Avgas is definitely a problem there. I have never seen a stait float plane there but sure you can do it. Good luck!!!

I am with "I smell burn toast" too. I probably know the guy since I worked with him at Sgk. If you think you are better because your tail was green, darker blue or whatever, I think you missed the point. No one would have take a plane knowing that wasn't airworthy. We had many planes to work with an...

Remember Northern Quebec might be good, depend on the company but generally sucks. Ontario, wage lower but y...

Training bond

Need opinions about training bond!
What do you think about a 10 000$ / 2 years training bond for a PIC PPC on a twin turbine aircraft.

You don't have to put the money on the table but sign an agreement that If you leave before the term you have to pay for the prorata.
