Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow
I haven't seen this level of solidarity and engagement since 2012. This is a good warm up for the membership for the imminent big table bargaining. Yes!!! I remember that, it was something. 95% participation rate in the strike vote. 95% in favour of a strike. A unified group and a hard nosed bargai...

Reduced to zero airplanes...lol
You failed to call their bluff. You capitulated and are now looking for scraps.
Good luck.

Re: Encore hiring Foreign Workers??
Where is JBI & Bede on this? Too busy pushing yes votes & shilling for WJ? Can you imagine ALPA allowing Delta to hire foreign workers on visas?? LOL I'd recommend re-reading the MEC's Statement in a little more detail. Lots of information in there about ALPA's next steps. Very hard to suggest that...

Re: Recall of MEC Chair & Vice Chair
She achieved far far more for AC pilots than anyone else maybe ever, and she did it in less than 2 years. ALPA, unity, pickets, and above all she raised our expectations of what we could achieve. She did but then she didn't. So we got WestJet plus 2%. An arbitrator wouldn't have given less. Minus l...

Re: contract search tool
Hi all, I wanted to put something out here that I found useful for pilots. Its a tool to search information within collective agreements like AC's and it comes with a chatgtp like chatbot to answer questions. Here the link: https://airlinecontract.com/ Cheers I like how the Delta contract is in the...

Re: Air Canada Pilot Incentive Bonus
I believe this is what you call "revisionist history" This is total bullshit. They literally ran how many webinars, newsletters and townhalls to push it. Wow Stig...are you Harold or James?? No, just a line pilot. Were you flying at AC when that MOA was reached? So...the MEC and NC shouldn't presen...

Re: Air Canada Pilot Incentive Bonus
Did you really think we were going to get a bonus ? I’ll take my 330CA pay ( 381/hour + 17/hour Overseas ) over the meager profit share all day long. It’s hard to hear the same rhetoric from the same muppets crying over the contract they thought slipped through their finger tips…….ugh let’s give it...

Re: So ACPA out negotiated ALPA?!
ACPA out negotiated ALPA? For the MOA in 2022... ACPA got flat pay down to 2 years with pilots going on formula pay on year #3. Also included was tentative displacement was bumped up to 24 hrs. The concessions were: - no longer get displaced on overseas crews. Get pushed to augment - Scope changes...

This government is holding on by the skin of their teeth
They will not risk their political life with back to work legislation.
100% Air Canada pilots will be allowed to strike. See you on the picket lines!
World Class Contract or bust!

Those of you who are triggered by this video because you felt it was an insult to WJ pilots completely missed the point. So let's me get this straight AC Executives have been very clear that their perceived baseline for negotiating is WestJet which like it or not, is tragically less than United/Delta. Don't get me started on WestJet's daily guarantee & 50% Deadhead So AC ALPA puts a video together saying AC Pilots co...

It's really like Canadians think their market is so much different You got to learn to call a bluff. I know it's scary. Notwithstanding the engine and delivery issues, it was surprising to see a reduction in required positions in the bid. Lol.. you're serious? It's the most classic union busting technique: threaten to take work away Doesn't matter the industry, it's the same old company play Luckily, the pilot group...

Lt Dan,
How many former ACPA Reps are currently negotiating AGAINST the pilot group?
And how many ACPA Reps are wearing a lanyard to support their union right now?
Wasn't ACPA a union so wouldn't it be natural for them to be unionists thus under the importance of showing solidarity?

Re: WORLD CLASS CONTRACT: ALPA
I agree that bargaining for pass priority is a waste. But the fact is that a majority of the aforementioned B1s moved up in priority to As, not down to Cs. World class contract equals better travel benefits for pilots whether its positive space or some kind of higher priority. Thats just my opinion...

I'd add...Given the Canadian industry is smaller than the American one...every deal is that much more critical
97% strike vote and they got a deal a week before the strike date...did they really get everything they could? Hard to think they did...

Re: Is the ACPA Motto: "We will get'em next time" gone?
What I don't understand is if there was a strike in April and no return to work legislation implemented by the government, wouldn't that be in the pilot groups advantage? The company couldn't let the strike go on into the summer travel season and would eventually have cave to give the pilot group w...
