There used to be a strip on the east side. It it is no longer useable. I’ve never heard of a strip at the south side.

I think you should adjust the seat to whatever is best for you.

The nice thing about the dash is the eye leveller allows you to set the seat to the same hight every time.

My wife takes Salofalk. It is an anti-inflammatory and she experiences pretty benign side effects. The downside for most is that the dosage is taken backwards

So as far as I can tell there were no rules broken and a safe operation was carried out.

Is this news?

Re: Halifax crash report coming Thursday

Many operators use 0.3 NM before the FAF to initiate descent when flying a SCDA approach. This is the case whether the approach is flown using FPA or V/S

Re: Halifax crash report coming Thursday

The report finds 14 causes and contributing factors. IMO, items 1 through 8 should be heeded by all cockpit crew members. There is much to learn for all of us. This crew had nearly 23,000 hrs of experience between them and the swiss cheese still lined up. I'm not sure about this being a watershed mo...

Re: TSB Report into 2015 Jazz 'landing' in CYAM

I just reread 602.31-the one about compliance to ATC instructions.

Does a speed to the FAF constitute an instruction, or is it a clearance where compliance requires acceptance by the PIC?

Re: CBC: Why are airlines getting millions from a fee to upgrade airports?

Airport improvement fees can translate into bad custom relations for airlines in my opinion. People pay x amount of dollars to the airline they are flying, but some of that doesn't go to the airline. I realise it is easier to pay once, but imagine a world where an airline collected only it's fare pl...

Re: Taxis, pilots, and tipping

In my experience taxi drivers are some of the most entitled people when it comes to tips. If you give anything less than 10% almost all of them will cry the blues. Taxi drivers have an easier job than restaurant servers yet expect a tip regardless of the service they provide. I say bring on Uber in ...
