Jazz AC Flow? Never heard of her. Does not compute
Re: Cabotage
Literally nothing would chance, only beurocratic nonsense. I'd be looking forward to getting paid in USD.
Re: WJ Hiring
AR jockeys are headed out the door when they lose arbitration in August. That makes 200+ eligible for manditory retirement in the next 2 years. Not everyone retires at 65 as well. Always a reactive solution rather than proactive. How can you be so sure that they are going to lose the arbitration? W...

Re: Sunwing B737 Captain fired for ordering fried chicken
I had an experience with a stewardess who would come up to the cockpit repeatedly and without prompting tell the most crude of sexual jokes(the captain loved it). At some point relatively soon after while off duty, after the alcohol had started flowing and after she had, on her own started discussi...

Sounds more like a humiliation ritual than anything. Only in Canada are pilots degraded and disrespected to such a low level.

Re: Remove AR, reduce upgrade time?
So, if I’m reading that correctly, for every AR that stays, someone under 65 retires? This has always been my opinion on the matter, I plan to retire at 60 which offsets one who wants to keep going, I find this “get out of my way” attitude to be extremely selfish and part of the generation coming u...

Re: Remove AR, reduce upgrade time?
Anyone know how many AR pilots are actually on the roster? 50 currently. 25 non AR guys retired in 2025, another 25 to add to that this year. 200 eligible in the next 3 years. Also, not everyone retires right at 65. I know a bunch of skippers who will leave at 60, so upgrades are definitely coming ...

Re: Encore hiring 2026
Thanks! I’m now officially in the hiring pool, looks like a May ground school start. Unfortunately things are winding down do to the energy situation. 400 flight cancelled for April, 1000 in May. Of those 400, 150 are encore. Bleek times are ahead. Assuming that will impact the planned monthly Grou...

Descend VIA bottom altitude question
Recently I was flying in to PHX and was given “descend VIA BRUSR 1” and would be expecting rwy 08 on the ATIS. I initially set 6000 in the MCP window as my bottom altitude, since PGSKN is 6000 hard on the plate. If you look at the transition for rwy 08, JAMIL is 4000 and above. But JAMIL is also a r...

Focus on building quality experience, staying current, and preparing well for the interview. AC hires real people with real histories — not perfect resumes. Space Waves Game Couldn’t be more further from the truth. AC hires you based on who is willing to put up with the deplorable QOL, and how hard...

Re: Medical privacy disclosure
Lots of fear mongering and conspiracy out there, but as I dug into this here is what I glean from it. Here’s the plain-language overview. What changed (in practical terms) Transport Canada now requires more explicit consent from pilots regarding: • What medical information is collected • How it may...

Re: Medical privacy disclosure
Of course it's against the law. That's why you have to sign the paper to give up your legal rights. Then when questioned they'll say nobody forced you to sign just like they said nobody forced you to get vaccinated. For those who took the clot shot thinking they were doing it for the greater good, ...
