Canada was 5th worst performing economy in 38 advanced nations from 2019 to 2022.
I'd hardly call 5th position to be 'one of the worst'

Re: MEC pay

Wow....after all the bellyaching and whinging and gnashing of teeth about the old MEC, the current MEC decides to pay itself 85 hrs per month (with room to grow maybe up to 98 hrs), to align itself with the ALPA norm...because the MEC work doesn't vary month to month.... the hypocrisy is unbelievab...

Re: Why everyone runs to AC?

Not able to wrap my head around looking for an answer. I've seen people getting pull towards AC like super magnets. I would agree if you with some random airlines but WESTJET mainline to AC. JUST CAN'T UNDERSTAND. My guess, young enough and they see the upgrade as very far in the future, in ...

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt

That would be true if the information posted was accurate… from what I’ve read from this smilin Jack character it’s not, he really isn’t being truthful with his comments Just because it’s on the internet doesn’t mean it’s true. Anyway against my better judgement I’ve wasted my time yet again on thi...

Re: Negotiations

Chairman's Update - May 2023 Fellow Pilots, I am writing to update you on the status of negotiations. On May 10 we met with Jazz management and received a response to our last wage proposal in March. It is with disappointment that I must advise you that their counterproposal is nowhere near the thr...

Re: RCMP crash

Odd that they posted an ad for the job about a week before the crash. And in the article they never used the word pilot. They just said one employee was ok and the only one on board. Odd use of words all around. "The employee who was involved is a special constable," said Const. Carlie McCann of th...

Re: Is this the first AIP to not be in the benefit of the company?

Yeah now we are going to score a huge win like those Jazz pilots and the Westjet guys like when they joined ALPA! Well, it can’t be any worse than your previous “victories”, can it? Every contract AC pilots signed since I’ve been at Jazz, almost 20 years, has made my life worse and set us back. May...

April 3rd is last ground school. Everyone else in hold pool. All hiring and training on hold indefinitely. For those outside looking in, stay put. The ones already in, looks like they have a plan to stay afloat. Fingers crossed. What sadist is going to show up for that groundschool if they haven’t ...
